Yeah I see him getting a Senior NT call up. But not sure if Ramos is calling him for the u20s.. I think a senior call up would take precedent.

Nah training isnt necessary. He should be playing. Get him in there plus he'll be ready if Utrecht releases him for qualifying. Big if of course.

Say Rubin continues his good form for Utrecht for the remainder of the season. Is he included with the USMNT for the Gold Cup or does he go back with the U20s for the U20 World Cup? This is bearing they qualify(if they dont heads will roll)
The U20s have a crazy surplus of attacking options. Will he be needed?
All hypothetical of course.

I'm voting full national team. #1 prospect status for me.

Very questions I've been asking myself. I think with the return of AJ and Boyd, he wont get called as much and return to the u20s. But anything is possible. Could see him on the full, u23, & u20 NT's. I wouldn't mind any, kids producing.

For me, he seems like a leader and someone that the u20s could use. We have enough talent, and enough tourneys between now and the next WC, to let Rubin progress slowly rather than throwing unrealistic expectations on his shoulders. I see him doing the u20 WC, the Olympics, the 2017 GC and the 2018 WC.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rubin with USMNT from here on out.
But in saying that I think it will all come down to how he does the remainder of the season with Utrecht. If he continues to put up numbers this season, it will be hard for Klinsmann to not call him up for the USMNT heading into the summer instead of letting him play with the U-20's. One thing is for certain the U-20's are stacked attack wise, so I don't think it will be a big loss for them if Rubin moves to the USMNT.
Remember Rubin position was as a wide FWD in a 4-3-3. Actually he just recently changed positions and started playing underneath the striker.
Should be interesting to see who makes the final roster for the Gold Cup team.
Right now I have Rubin on the cusp of the Gold Cup team.

If Rubin keeps on recording assists in Holland then I would keep him up top. Something this team lacks is a spark in attack and I believe he can produce it. Shoot the kid is 18!
I called it when he signed in utrecht he would be a very special player for them. I also predicted he would get 10 goals or more by seasons end hope I'm right.

This kid can be in the league for 3-4 years and develop properly before making a jump to a big league
