With the lack of striking options, yes I think he gets called up.
This isn't a do or die game. I'd be surprised if he's called. I think JK will look for young strikers to look at. However, after being hurt in first few minutes of the first game of the WC and missing out on the rest he might call him up just to get him back i n a US jersey. I'd like to see him stay back at his club to train though.

Hahaha this kid isnt shy going strong into a header.
You have Zardes who has been a monster recently unless Bruce decides to be Bruce
You have Agudelo who could benefit from a call up.
Altidore will prob be there.
and now you could bring Rubin for experience. He shouldnt play but he can be there to start working with the team and seeing set up

What young strikers? Right now Zardes and Bruin are the only two real young striking options who are scoring goals.

Who else?

Agudelo doesn't have a team. He may get called up, but he isn't going to be in any match shape for a game.

Johannsson is injured.

Boyd is injured.

Rubin? Wouldn't exactly say he is a striker.

You guys act like there are a plethora of options out there, but there isn't. Yes Altidore will be called up.

Friendly's are exhibitions, but they should not be treated as meaningless games.

Wondo will be called up. I think Jozy and Wondo might sadly be it as far as strikers go.

Akindele could possibly be called up. The Canadian/American guy on FC Dallas that is scoring a plethora of rookie season goals. That is, if he is actually American and not just Canadian and would choose us over them.

Are you talking about the same Will Bruin who couldn't score in a break away 1 vs 1 against the goal keeper in his last game?

I've been saying this for awhile.........Will bruin sucks!

What about Tony Taylor ?? He is like a bus ride away from the czech republic game Lol. I mean jurgen said he was gonna call up new players, Maybe he calls in CJ sapong to give him a second look. Jack mac, zardes, green will be there, wood, Jozy, we have available fwds to take. I don't think hyndman or Rubin will be called they have to intergrate onto their clubs first they barely started, maybe in November if their playing consistently and well they will get called.

I agree i didnt realize Rubin was 96' player. He is just 18 lol. I thought he was 20 no need to rush him. Zardes is a must right? Also i cant take watching Bruin for Houston

Nice article on why he decided to go to FC Utrecht. Wish more of our young players would think like this. BPL is not the place to learn and develop USMNT young talent IMO.

Greg Seltzer reporting that Utrecht made contact with Stoke and inquired about Brek Shea.

No word how on how strong the interest is, and what kind of transfer it would be. More than likely I could see him going on loan, and with Utrecht have the option to buy him after the season.

Rubio Rubin is my favorite of the kids who have gone abroad recently. Has that positive attitude of a winner, but not in a cocky way. Drive and personality are the types of things that can push him ahead of other players in our pecking order that have equal "talent", however that is exactly qualified. Good start for Rubio, if he keeps producing they won't be able to take him out of the lineup . Count me among those who think his move to holland was a great idea.

Hopefully brek goes to holland it's exactly what he needs. He has all the physical tools to be a beast.
