Rubio Rubin expected to start in his debut this weekend for Utrecht. Looks like I was right about him being a first team player this season.

Knowing Klinsmann, does this put him in a callup for September friendly territory?

With Johannsson & Boyd still out injured, Agudelo still without a team, and JK's statement that he wants to use young players for the remainder of the year...If Rubin plays well with the minutes he gets he should be in line for a call up...maybe not September, but possibly Oct. or Nov.

Jozy, Green, Wood, Gyau are who I think will be called for Sept.

Klinsmann will put Green at forward and he will do nothing like he did in the All Star game. IMO, Green looks better on the wing

I have a feeling Zardes will be called up. Right now he is the only thing close to a #9 like Jozy. And really the only US FWD in really good form.

What is interesting is that Gyau has been played at the withdrawn striker role recently for BVB2. A position he really thrives at.

Does Jozy get called up? or will we leave him alone so that he can focus on Sunderland

Rubin proves that young Americans need to do what they can to get to the eredivise. They throw the young talented players into the fire more than any other big European league.

With the lack of striking options, yes I think he gets called up.

I think we're all just so stoked to see this kid in action, so I understand the double post 😄

yea just saw that. The opposing team closed him down well. They have injuries at striker right? If so he can get quality minute and impose himself quicker than we all thought

I can see why he started. He is quality, mature, confident.
