This is the end of Dempsey's career with Fulham. What a sad way for it to end after so many great moments.

Demspey should play. It's unprofessional for him not to

He has his reasons, and I wouldn't believe everything that comes out as well. We haven't heard anything from Dempsey's camp.

It's a little suspicious to me that Jol said all week he wasn't going to play Dempsey and now he is being fined because he has refused to play! Hmm, maybe he has a right to refuse if Jol wasn't going to select him in the first place.

Looks like to me that they tried to play hard ball with Dempsey this week, and then when that didn't work Jol said OK Fulham need him, so lets tell him he has been selected.

Dempsey has every right to feel slighted, and every right to refuse to play. In my opinion.

Dempsey doesn't have every right to refuse to play for the club he's signed for.

Jol could say he's not going to play Dempsey all week and then change is mind. Dempsey still has to play even if he feel's slighted. That's his job.

I was hoping it wouldn't turn bad like it did when Dempsey was leaving the Revolution.

Now, a deal has to get made and there is an increased chance that Fulham will have to accept a deal they wouldn't have otherwise have made. There is no waiting until January now.

Well after seeing both Arsenal and Liverpool struggle maybe both need to make a deal for Dempsey.

I watched the Arsenal game and I saw Walcott go up for a header in the first half from a Carzola cross and he made a hash of it. I was thinking to myself, you know what Demspsey would have buried that. And then in the second half Carzola makes a great pass to Giroud who completely botched the finish, and I thought to myself, you know Dempsey would have buried that as well. There were multiple times Arsenal's offense couldn't fashion anything, and I thought to myself, you know Dempsey could really be a star for Arsenal. But alas I don't think either team will put in a bid for him.

I've been thinking that Arsenal was the place for Deuce all summer. However, I highly doubt there will be any knee jerk reaction from AW after today's match.

Has Dempsey even trained with the club yet? What happens if he isn't moved by Friday?

Andy Carroll was moved and considered a "strategic decision." Maybe Duece to Liverpool after all. I hope it won't be a disaster. Liverpool made Hearts look like a decent side today.

I just can't wait for this sad saga to be over.

Dempsey to Liverpool would just seem anticlimactic.

He would go from being an automatic starter for decent team that has no chance to qualify for the Champions League to a marginally better team where he is likely a starter but who also has no chance to qualify for the Champions League.
