Well, that makes sense, though the reason i thought you may have been referring to Shea was his performances for FCD's defense at the beginning of last season (i think he played 3 or so games as left back and one as a CB).

Super psyched for the beginning of the season this weekend, been too long without local footie!

so can we all agree 100% that brek shea has no business being mentioned as a potential for must-win WCQ in less than 3 weeks seeing as how he has not earned a start for stoke and last started for FCD in september???

good grief

Shes has two more games before CR game against West Brom & Newcastle, and he has a very high chance of starting one of those games after impressive performances. Even if he just gets PT in both of those games that could very well be enough for Klinsmann to give him the nod on the left, Jurgen thinks highly of Shea and his abilities and has always played him for the NT. Time will only tell. Shea will be there sooner or later. We need the help now tho, bc playing a natural foward(EJ or gomez) at left wing isnt working..

Shea didn't play against Newcastle and then didn't even make the bench against West Brom. Did Pulis decide that he doesn't like what he sees from him?

As excited as I was for him leaving to a better league, it'll all be for nothing if he doesn't play. And Stoke isn't exactly the best place for an attacking player to develop. The Eredevisie, Bundesliga, or even Ligue 1 would have been much better choices than the Premiership.

I'm willing to bet that Brek did too much too soon and probably set himself back with another injury...in a team so strapped for adventurous attackers that can make dynamic runs, I can't believe that TP would drop him from the squad without a good reason. Hearing him say that he was only 70% fit after his first competitive match a couple of weeks ago, and how badly he wanted to return to full fitness, I'm sticking with the injury guess.

So it's a month later and he still hasn't dressed up despite mostly losses...looks like Pulis decided he's a dud. The other problem is that there's a good chance Stoke will get relegated this year (they are the least in-form team out of all of the ones at the bottom). That's not good if he's stuck playing Championship soccer.

On the bright side, I have a feeling Pulis will get fired in the off-season and maybe the new manager will give him a chance. But I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the case. There have always been a lot of people who were never that enthused by his abilities and maybe they were right.

An injured player isn't playing and your assessment is that the manager has decided he is a dud. What evidence aside from lack of playing time are you basing this on?

What I heard was that he was brought back too soon, had a setback with his foot, and has been practicing in tennis shoes until just a few days ago.
For I am creator of all things soccer. Seek repentance or just beat Mexico, either will get you in up here.

Shea reaggravated his foot injury; it's not serious. Hence why he hasn't been playing. Gotta love when people spin their own theory's without knowing the facts.
