SBI is reporting that after assurances about his health the Shea to Stoke City transfer is back on. This is getting ridiculous.

I hope he continues to stay hungry, he can't settle here. As Klinsmann said about Dempsey a few days ago "he didnt do sh*t." He needs to push himself even more for minutes and to get to another level.

I see him doing ok and perhaps getting better as the season goes on. He needs to adjust to the league, the country, his team, ect... After a whole pre-season and acclimation period next season Shea will show his true colors in the EPL. Good luck to him.

What's his fitness level? Has he fully recovered from the injury? If he's back from the injury I think he's good enough to be a regular starter. Maybe needs a couple of weeks to peak on the fitness. I think next year he'll be the most exciting American in the BPL.

Original post from Coach Kev

this is the biggest problem. He is a young player who needs some good senior leadership/rolemodels

i suppose you're right about that, but who is he going to get that mentoring from at Stoke? I guess it'd be fair to say that the higher level of fitness and skills training would automatically give him a leg-up on his Dallas situation, but they don't have any strong established wingers, unless you count Matthew Etherington, but his ability to take players on down the flanks has greatly diminished this season. It would make sense that this is a move in hopes of A.) Investing in young American talent that opens up a huge fanbase in America, and B.) Inspiring Etherington back to good form by providing him some competition.

Now if you're talking about behavioral role models, there you may have the trump card. Lot of tireless workers out there, not a lot of inflated egos or bad tempers...Stoke's integrity on the pitch is pretty well-established, their discipline on the defensive side of the ball, I feel, is a testament to that.

What are the chances MLS actually releases the transfer figure?

Agreed - Stoke isn't a top tiered team and has the ability to be humbled by others higher in the BPL. Not every day is going to be Brek's day - however, it could be argued that Stoke can be relatively solid when they want to be and don't have high payroll athletes who complain - Kenwyne Jones maybe, but it sounds like he MAY be on his way out as it is.

I think Pulis is a no BS coach, which is great for Brek. Whatever may come, he needs to make the most of this opportunity and stay fit and bigger things will come.

Interview with Schellas Hyndman makes it sound like it's still up-in-the-air

Shea coming on in the 24th min today for Stoke City. He looks ok so far, high energy, ok going foward, needs to defend better, looks like someone new to the EPL.

Welcome to the USMNT starting lineup (not that he necessarily deserves it, but we need wingers)

Overall performance- average to slightly well. Drew a penalty, had some good touches, needed to defend a little better. A brighter note in a very poor attacking Stoke team. He'll get another game for Stoke(unlike Edu), wont be surprised to see him start next game. We still need to see Shea play at home Stoke score more.

Note: hard for Shea to do well in a totally defence minded team, also cameron started in mid didnt do anything subbed off. Stoke could of tighted the game if walters didnt suck..

With more games he under him he will become more comfortable.

I am sure it was not really expected of him to play that much today, so with that being said he had a good first debut.
