Do we really have someone physical that can step up for that starting XI CB Spot? Gonzo hasnt shown well in god knows how long and well his time is running out as a starter. How much better is goodson? Cameron doesnt play CB as much as RB or CDM how can we trust him. Brooks to young and doesnt play 90 regularly. Any other MLSer that we can throw in there that wont turn off for a split second because Gonzo alone will cost us goals.
JK should have given more time to other CB like Schuler, Okugo George John, Hedges or even Edu? Man how i miss pre injury Gooch.
Do we really have any option since JK only gave playing time to Goodson Brooks and Gonzo. None maybe Goodson a good option that wont turn off and physically strong but how much games have Goodson and Besler playes?

Learned a few things.

Besler is our best CB by a wide margin. Who pairs up next to him is the question.

Julian Green was a huge get for JK. Kid has obvious talent. He could be on this WC squad but he'll be a huge part of the next few cycles.

Gonzalez is capable of being a intl quality CB but he needs to prove that in MLS over the next month.

Michael Bradley should be captain. Heart and soul. My favorite player. Got shitted on for leaving Roma. The US is just capable of so much more when he's pushing the ball forward. Him as a 6 is a dumb idea.

I learned that if we could clone Michael Bradley nine times and start the 10 MB's along either Timmy or Brad, we'd have a decent chance of getting out of our group.

I learned that Parkhurst likely has a spot on the 23 which is his to lose (this was helped by what we learned from Castillo in the Ukraine game).

I also learned that JK should have never second guessed himself and overreacted in a panic once Beasley was not released. He initially called up Yedlin over Beltran for a reason, it was the right decision.

He didn't second guess himself. Yedlin was just called in to get experience. He's not ready for a full 90min match at the international level. He's not going to Brazil. Someone made a good point on this topic last week.

Interesting that no one here has confidence in Gonzerror. In the defunct US soccer Forum he has some diehard supporters who could see no wrong with him.

As to what I was smoking re my opinion on Landon, everyone agrees that despite his form he'll be at the WC, so he is a lock. Truth better check his own logic when he disagrees with me and, wait, then he agrees.

No comments on the attack. I guess no one believes Wondo is suitable for anything more than a weak-team (read Mexico). Green was a token show to reward him for choosing us. Don't expect to see him again.

And yet Beltran who is an inferior talent and had all of two international caps before Mexico is somehow ready for the international level?

Perhaps he thought Beltran didn't have as many highs or lows and thus better for the long term to not let Yedlin risk getting ripped because he sees Yedlin as the potential starter in the coming years.

It wasn't that shocking to see Beltran start whether anyone agrees or disagrees with the decision.

You can't handle TheTruth. You said we learned that Lando is a lock to start. Wrong. We learned that Lando is not a lock to start. I can't recall anyone in any medium ever suggesting that Lando would not be going to Brazil. I don't know why I bother. . .

Parkhurst doesn't have the physicality and athleticism to play CB against GHA,GER,POR strikers.
This is not true at all. Which players are you talking about? Most of the attacking players are more like Reus, Ozil, Ayew, Atsu, et al with the exception of Ronaldo are more small and quick. And the strikers: Klose, Almeida, Gyan... I'd feel more comfortable with the more athetic and confident on the ball less likely to commit turnovers Parkhurst than I would Gonzalez.

I guess you are not very smart. If he is going to Brazil according to everyone (including yourself), then he is a lock. Full stop.
