Halftime. Nurnberg had their chances. Drmic offsides too many times.

Chandler has been solid save that reckless tackle for the yellow

Well, Jeff Carlisle just wrote a great piece on Chandler that makes FC Nuernberg look like a bunch of turds.

I don't know whether I fully let Timmy off the hook for his previous antics but this casts a different light on things.

I suppose it doesn't really matter at this point, as long as he wants to be with the MNT and gives the team his all going forward it's all we can ask of him.

Nevertheless it's a good read.

Man, had to dig a bit to find a Timmy Chandler thread.

First game back since his injury and he has the two assists for Frankfurt's goals.

Hands down our best RB going forward.
Would love to see our back four of FJ JAB CCV TC

I am a fan of Chandler, and was annoyed with JK & Bruce constantly using Zusi at RB when Yedlin was injured. That said, Yedlin is still likely our 1st choice RB going forward. He's younger and playing in a club equal to Chandler's in a League which is considered better. Add in the progress Moore is making and even though Chandler is only 27, he may be on the outside looking in.

There's also the young kid at Man U who has been working his way up who will hopefully make his way into the conversation at either RB or LB.

He may be from a technical standpoint however he never seemed to play hard for the nats-sure he was played out of position but it just seemed he wasn't fully committed

It certainly is worth bringing him in to see where is heart is at but I like that we are starting to build depth in the backline with young guys.

Same for Fabian good player with technical ability but seemed to have not been fully committed.

The very last thing we need with this young group of players is bringing someone in who destroys team moral or allows for a superiority attitude in training.

But I would call him in but he would be on a tight rope just based on his history.

I am sure Chandler will be given a fresh new look under a new manager. Still think Yedlin is better. But having Chandler and now Shaq Moore makes it a deep and competitive position. Hopefully LB becomes much better as well.

Watched the Gladbach-Frankfurt game. He balled out at left wingback got the first assist in a 2-0 win.

Are yall still opposed to him coming back in the fold?

Id like to see him back but cant deny his poor performances in the past.

Nope not opposed at all. I think he would be very valuable at both RB and LB

We are rebuilding the USMNT psychologically. Chandler would be a detriment.

I disagree. And I think a lot of players will have a shot to prove themselves with whomever the next coach is. Chandler is currently in better form than Yedlin is.
