ESPN will be airing a five part documentary mini-series following the MNT in May-June. The series starts on May 13 and the NY Times is alluding that the conversations cutting the players from 30 to 23 will not be on camera. Fine by me, I cannot wait for this behind the scenes look. Brilliant idea.

Would have been interesting if they had this back in February of last year with the Strauss article coming out. Like to see how they responded behind the scenes.

Just when we thought Beckerman's hair couldn't get any better, they go and show his childhood mullet.

1) what did u guys think about the reasoning behind why dempsey was captain... I never thought of it that way...
2) Klinsmann tore apart Donovan do u think he is a fringe player after watching this???

Beckerman as a kid with the mullet was comedy gold.

MB kissing his son was hilarious just because hes such a stoic dude,

Hope they give more players some time to tell their story.

Also all the dudes huddling in the ice bath was great.

Honestly, my thought when he was talking about Dempsey's captaincy was that it certainly didn't pan out the way Klinsmann intended.

Maybe the armband gives Clint an extra spark but I really don't see him playing a different style of play because of it. Klinsmann talked about him coming back to defend more to push himself. I don't see it. Dempsey is a dynamic offensive threat and that's not a bad thing.

It re-airs Thursday at 9pm Eastern on ESPN2. They might also put it up on WatchESPN later on although it's not up at the moment.
