Anyone else excited by FootGolf? For those of you who don't know, it's what it sounds like... Soccer and Golf put together. You play on a golf course with 21" holes. The holes are to the side of the fairway or greens and do not interfere with the main course itself. Typically 18 holes are spread out over 9 golf holes.

Because FootGolf doesn't require greens, you wear turf shoes rather than cleats, the upkeep of the sport itself is rather cheap.

Anyone have any thoughts on the new sport?

There will be 60+ footgolf courses open by the end of this summer across the USA. There were only 30 finished/planned only this January and it was in the low 20's in December.

I think it's pretty exciting and once again, good for the growing soccer culture of our nation.

I talked to this guy a few months ago from Sacramento, CA

They've been playing footgolf for a while now. I guess its just catching on in other areas. That would be cool to play.

I still think 5 vs 5 futsal on a basketball court is the shit!

Over 180 courses now across the USA, their goal is 200 by the end of July which they will easily reach.

Anyone going to the Liverpool AC Milan match in Charlotte August 2nd?

There will be a FootGolf tournament that morning in Charlotte.

Good for soccer here? Absolutely, it helps grow the culture.

I tried FootGolf a week ago with my friends, it was really fun. It definitely could be a way to get more people into soccer as anyone can play it no matter experience.

Frolfing is still better though because it's always free whereas I had to pay $15 for 18 holes of FootGold, but it's certainly an awesome game.
