Or the cynic in me says FIFA will cut them all a deal to quietly stop talking. Money and Greed talk and you don't get to be a high level CEO/board member for a top company without breaking your morals every now and then. But lets say for instance Sony paid $100 million for x amount of commercial spots, billboards, etc, FIFA could say how about its only $50 million instead. I'm just very weary of big corporations through personal experiences and recent history

I don't really think they would have signed away their right to contest if they weren't confident that everything was sufficiently well hidden that could actually warrant stripping them of the WC. What's more likely is that one or two people will get fingered and they'll be punished harshly but Qatar will be allowed to keep it.

You really start to wonder how many skeletons are in his closet. After all it was Blatter that said racism could be solved with a handshake.

Sounds like this country politically, don't agree with someone... call them a racist and you automatically win.

FIFA really is evil and massively corrupt. Try and stand up against it and you're stomped.

Come on. People get called out for playing the race card unfairly at least some times.
Exaggerate much?

Wow. I saw this coming from the moment Qatar was selected in the first place.

Imagine how huge it would be if we did get it. The US will be at the epicenter of the soccer world 2x in an 8 year span between the Copa America in 2016 and the WC in 2022. I'm excited. Have to wonder about how Gulati's comments that we won't bid again until there is more transparency will factor in

If were given the 2022 World Cup I don't think he'd say no.

Watching the players suffer in the heat of Brazil, I am concerned about the health of players in hotter Qatar. I also wonder about the quality of the cup. They really need to pull it.

I really think after seeing the invention of cooling breaks in Brazil for weather that was only 90 degrees how will players be able to cope in 100-110 degree weather. If fifa actually cares about their product they will move away from Qatar. Bad press that wont get better anytime soon. Lack of any sporting culture in Qatar at all. The fact that Qatar has been funding syrian rebels and the fact that there are numerous terrorist groups within distance who would salivate at the potential to attack numerous countries who attend the world cup. Now before anyone says well United States has potential terrorist problems not really after 9/11 we have had lonewolfs but their sucess rate has been very low and they have not been able to attack major targets. However Al-Qaeda in Yemen, Al Qaeda, Pakistani terrorist groups and ISIS will have the ability and funding to strike a major attack against Qatar. In the end I dont think the world cup stays in Qatar. I think Blatter makes one last power move and gets it revoted on. Its well known Qatar is Platinis baby and you have to think Blatter will be looking to score one last victory before he is done as Fifa president.
