Cyle Larin will play at the Gold Cup... For Canada.

An this is the 2015 gold cup, not the 2018 World Cup. The qualifying round starts in the fall if you want to bitch about who is/is not part of the cycle.

Hell, I would take CJ Sapong or Cyle Larin over Wondo, or one of the u20 kids whose name I can't remember.

I would take Cyle Larin too if he wasn't Canadian and already cap-tied to Canada.

That's cool, so I got one wrong. The other 7 forwards I mentioned would still be a better choice than Wondo, JK's pet project. We shouldn't be able to name two better choices.

And I am going to bitch how many other players should be in this 23. We don't gain anything from including at least half of the older players in the 23 who will never be young enough for 2018.

1-2 for a stop-gap and 1-2 for leadership, sure. That doesn't explain the other 3-4.

What?

Just because teams can swap players later, does not mean "Let's take stupid choices so that we can swap them later!".

JK's blind spots are just pants-crapping sometimes. His strengths are so strong and his weaknesses are so weak. He really is the anti-Bob Bradley.

What is an anti-Bob Bradley?

Are you slow? Like...mentally? I dunno, I'm starting to sort of feel bad for making fun of your posts all this time, because it's starting to look more and more like you actually have something wrong with you. Sorry man :/

Bob didn't really make as many weird choices, or have as much upside as JK.
He was steady and conservative and in no way visionary.

JK's capable of amazing things and dumb pet ideas.

So starting Robbie Findley or Ricardo Clark or a still injured Onweyu weren't weird choices?

Those are some rose colored glasses you have for Bradley.

You poor bastards make me laugh with all the hand wringing over Wondo. The roster is strong and well rounded. JK wants to win now and wants his back ups to have experience...plenty of time to bring along the youngbloods...it's 2015, not 2017.

The focus shouldn't be on Wondo or Davis, it should be on if Deuce remains as captain, and if he does, what affect will that have on MB and the attack entering the final third. It's going to be really interesting how we look against bunker D with Jozy and Deuce up top...or what JK does when Deuce doesn't get enough of the ball and starts dropping deeper into the midfield.

I'm excited to see Zardes...I think he's going to have a good tourney.

You know how soccer peeps are, first to jump on somebody else's mistake!

I actually thought Cyle Larin was American until like a month ago.

So this roster seems to show that JK is putting Fab back at LB. I guess Shea, Garza, et al didnt show they could handle it. Have to wonder if after this tourney we go back to Fab at LW and Garza/Shea at LB or if this is Fab, Brooks, Alvardo, Chandler is his back 4 for the cycle (which I am ok with given some of the younger offensive guys coming up)

Yep, I agree with you. The 2018 chatter can start after next summer's Copa America. Last cycle Herc and Boca were huge for us in the early stage of WCQ. We will never have our WC squad defined three years early, you play who you need to play to get the result at that moment in time.
