Are you referring to BJ4 as being the primary beneficiary of any move away from LAG for Zardes?

Him and Villareal I would think would get more opportunities. Two years ago it looked like Villareal was close to making the non-FIFA date US teams until some injuries hit. Would love to see if he can get back on track.

LA is still pretty stacked w/o Zardes. BJ4 & Villareal won't be seeing the field much. The biggest beneficiaries of Zardes leaving are Ishizaki and Husidic.

Ishizaki no longer plays for the Galaxy and if i'm correct i think Husidic is more of a central midfielder. His spot has already been taken by Gerrard and Juninho.

I think others are correct with the notion that Villarreal and BJ4 would have the most to benefit from the transfer of Zardes.

It's the impending butchering of the English language that kills me; also maybe the wacky social opinions.

Ah, I was wondering why I didn't see Ishizaki. . . He's still got a couple of good years left in him so hopefully another MLS team picks him up.
Husidic has pretty much always played wide for LA.
So, I guess Zardes leaving would make BJ4 the 4th forward and then Villareal moves up 2 spots now on the depth chart at wide mid with Ishizaki and Zardes gone, but I still don't see him getting much PT this year.
It will be interesting to see how much emphasis Bruce puts on CCL.

There are some quotes to the effect that it's a priority for them now. I'm blanking on how much of it was the club, or players, or the league, but it's in the air.

Zardes is rumored to be on the eye of a number of european teams. With the galaxy losing the ability to keep Gonzos salary down to a non DP it means the galaxy with Keane Dos Santos Gonzo and Gerrard have 4 dps now. I have heard that the teams intrested in him see him as a forward and not a winger. I would agree with that assessment some of his best displays with the galaxy came as a forward. With him being shuffled back to winger his performances in the second half of the season were pretty meh. Anyways it looks like gonzo and zardes are probably gone but mls might invent some way to keep them just like last year.

Reading is the team that I have heard has expressed the most interest in him. If they play him at his forward position then I think Gyasi has to make this move. I see a future only for him at forward and not a winger.

He is going to have to work on his first touch if he is going to make it in Europe. His first touch probably haunts him in his sleep.

I just hope to see him moved to FWD. That's the position I think he has the biggest upside at.

I find it weird that Reading hasn't even given a steady run of minutes to Novakovich yet. The reason why they said no to him going to the U20 WC was because he supposed to be getting first team minutes this year, and they didn't want him to get injured before the start of the Championship season.

So why are they targeting Zardes now? But hey Ieouldnt mind seeing Zardes and Novakovich playing together in the next few years. Maybe both will be in the EPL in a couple seasons with Reading. Reading is in contention for the playoffs this season.

Yeah, I think Zardes will go. You gotta think Bruce is watching him play as a mid for USMNT and seeing him shit up the field. But no room for him at forward in LA with Gio and Keane. So, he's gotta go try forward. In the Championship sounds about right to me. I'm about 505/50 whether he'll be successful. His athletic ability still might be good enough to compensate for that lack of touch. Or maybe his touch can get better.

This will only hurt Novakovich. But he is obviously not in their plans so it probably doesn't matter anyway. Good move for Zardes if it happens, I guess.

Discussion Bait:
Should Zardes be converted to DM/CM?

I know this looks like a joke question, but for the sake of discussion, I'm being totally serious.
