I remember when he got drafted I said he would be the best player from that class

Zardes was not drafted. He signed a homegrown deal.

Zardes looks like a poor man's Jozy Altidore.

Ha! I was at last night's game and totally agree.

The Revs D was horrendous.

both rowe and goncalves forced a return after injury to quickly, so they came back with no fitness therefore playing poorly and losing all confidence in themselves and the team... I still think Rowe can play on the USMNT in the near future he just needs to find his form.

Good read about Gyasi. In the few games I have been able to see this year, you can see how much he has learned/continues to learn from Keane and LD.

would love if that comes to be. A great step up and frees up minutes for other young yanks at LAG. A win-win from a usmnt stand point

Are you referring to BJ4 as being the primary beneficiary of any move away from LAG for Zardes?

I'd heard about Reading, but not Genk until now. I don't know much about how MLS deals with approaches, and if there are rules, or what.

I'm assuming that he'd go to a higher club if possible, and not a Reading.
I'd think that MLS is torn about letting him go before LAG get a full run in the CCL, which would have its final in late April. As a LAG/MLS fan, I'd love to see Galaxy win it, and they may very well need him. He's a hell of a lot more experienced than BJ4, Villareal, or Lletget.

Most importantly, as a USNT fan, I'm excited that he could go to Gent or higher, and if that means now, I'll take it. I don't really give a shit about him going to a Reading or lower, especially since he has a good mentality. The nice thing about Gent is that he can play in a league that isn't severely difficult, then get the occasional chance to play Europa or CL (and without that Europa/CL factor, I don't know what I'd think of him going to Belgium as a USNT fan).
And we all want him to pick up a lot more silk and control, and a little better shooting consistency would be nice, too.

Lastly, I'd like to see him rotate through the USNT. I don't think that he should always be in the XI by any means.

Depends for me. If he's gonna be a wide player, I'd like to see him work on his technical game in Belgium. If he's gonna be a striker, let him go to England and work on his hold up play.

Adms, what are your thoughts about a hometown player going to ply his trade in your favorite country?
