Well after saying many times he should get called up by Richie, the Netherlands has called up Kai. Maybe this call up will get the USSF's attention, I know he would prefer to play for the US.

I had no idea he was a dual national with the Netherlands. How do you know he would prefer the US? A lot of talent for the U-17's both Gallardo and Elijah Rice are excellent strikers, and Haji Wright can play as the lone striker as well.

But in saying that it's only the U-16's. If he would rather be in the US set-up in the future he can make that one-time switch if he gets cap tied to the Netherlands at the youth level.

He doesn't have a preference yet, he is interested in both USA, Netherlands. Anyways is not like he would be a big difference maker. I think Gallardo, Wright are better than him.

He has said he would really like to rep the US, and he hadn't showed any interest in the Netherlands. Don't know where you got that info from.. But if holland calls you up hard to say no. As far as he compared to the current u17 strikers I have said they are not in desperate need of a striker but kai would only make the team better. Great goal scorer. Thinking someone is better doesn't make them better.

There might be a camp in Europe in April, hopefully he is on that roster.

Kai called by Holland for tournament in Portugal, made the cut from 30 players trying out. Says he hasn't been contacted by USA yet, but would accept if did, from his comments in article he prefers US over Holland. Just waiting for a call.

A few months ago he said on his twitter i believe. He is interested in both USA, Holland. But he would prefer USA, and there might be a reason why USA hasn't contacted him not really sure.

Who cares! The dude is a teen, who still has entry of time to choose the country he wishes to play for. Why is it anytime a youth player chooses not to play for the USA, theres always one or two people on here to say "well we have a player than him anyways." Sounds like your hating on the kid. So what if he chooses another country to play for, just be happy for the kid.... I'm just glad were coming out with talent good enough to play for the Netherlands or whatever country who wants him. Never hate on a kid, no matter raised and born here in the US or outside the country.

@thisguy2 agree 100% with you. Who cares he might not even be good enough for our sub 17's we have a lot of fwds in all levels coming up with don't really need him. anyways if he was so interested with USA he would of declined their call in the first place. Ill take Haji or Gallardo over him any day.

I could post several stories on potential dual Americans ages 13-18 but i don't because it doesn't matter until they are playing professionally or at least 18 or older.
And trust me there are hundreds of American players in that age area that will be that good if not even better. For example john hilton/xuxuh from chivas usa sub 14 the kid has Brazil on his radar, and they are also asking for him. he could easily be a star for the Brazilian national team down the road or USA. Heck he recently played vs the sub 17's and looked better than most of them. i am not hating just saying.

We'll if it doesn't matter to you don't post a comment ignore the story.. Just trying to post something productive, instead of posting uneducated responses like most.. And I know I know more and have been following youth soccer longer than you have so chill.. You act as if youth soccer doesn't matter but then give recognition to a youth player, make up your mind.."TRUST YOU" never..

I remember you posting not to long ago that josh Perez and a few other u17 players were sub 20s haha..nike friendlies role around and know you are a u17 expert haha nonsense.. I think I'll take a break form this site for awhile to many people thinking they know things they don't. LAST POST.

OK no hard feelings everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but to say you know more than others in us soccer is blasphemous. There is no way one cant post they know more than other people when they cant prove it. Like you said ignore certain post obviously you dint ignore mines.
