I dont think that should be a concern. I mean when do you ever see a second team having that much attention. How much people actually watch Barcelona B or RM 2nd team in Liga adelante. Unless I am missing something here.

Thats why i said 10k. Is possible. I mean chivas usa had around 8k ane this yr will most likely be worse. I think LA2 can have around 6-9k. And will probably have a better team than them lol.

Yea, would love to see more teams doing this... especially ones with legit academies just makes too much sense not to. Red Bulls and FC Dallas seem like slam dunk ones for me as teams who have great academies and need to find places for their young players to play and progress.

One team that isl likely be the last team in the league to do this is the SJ Earthquakes... getting harder and harder to be a supporter of a team and ownership that are so cheap... keep hoping the new stadium will change things but so far it hasn't.

I'm not so sure ChivasUSA will be worse this season. I think they might surprise some people.

I love when people say things like this. The reason lag 2 will have the players they have are because they aren't good enough for mls. To suggest they could beat an mls team is just dumb. Fulham and Sunderland would dominate in the championship. Nuremberg would probably be undefeated in bundes 2. In a one game cup where the top team doesn't really care of course they'll lose from time to time but if they played in the same table they'd be at the bottom. Just like when people say auburn or Alabama could beat the jaguars or some other bad nfl team. It could never happen. 18-21 year olds won't beat a team full of professionals more than 1 out of 50 times

Obviously you don't see or follow much of the US open cup. Many times usl, nasl, even lower division teams upset MLS teams. I could of easily named a handful of teams in lower divisions in USA better than some mls teams. And same in other leagues in cup games every time there are upsets when lower league teams beat clubs from the top flight.

Legitimate upsets do happen, but since we're on the subject of LA Galaxy & USOC, they fielded what were essentially B-teams against the Railhawks the past 2 USOC's and lost both matches.

However, if both full first XIs were matched up against each other, you have to think MLS clubs would win the vast majority of those matches.

Of course they would win the majority of matches. But no way they would go undefeated or even finish top 10. For example wigan las yr in epl relegated but win fa cup. Now not even top 5 in championship. So in no way can all teams from a 1st team be better than all teams in 2nd división it will never be like that. There will always be teams from lower divisions better than some 1st division teams.....

Wow, this is a freakishly impressive goal against Galaxy II from a former identified fan who posed with Beckham and Russel brand.

This is of course old news, but it always makes me smile.

As a Dallas fan, we've seen more than a couple lower league opposition upsets in USOC play the past handful of years...don't underestimate what they can do.

Why I still say a promotion/relegation system is the way to go, but it'll take smarter people than me to figure out how to make it happen.

You realize Wigan had 22 players from last years squad leave. And there manager. 12-13 Wigan would have dominated Championship. Just as this years Fulham and Sunderland would dominate championship if they played there
