Ok thanks. Wonder if he played rb all game or just switch there for tactical reasons after subs were made. Because most times when subs are made players switch positions for tactical reasons. Anyways i dont think he is that good playing rb, we saw it vs mexico it dint really work.

Cameron started his last game for the U.S. team on the right (vs. Austria)

Also, I am not sure about your math. 10 weeks from now is April 21. FCN have a game on April 25, May 3, May 10. Then the season is over.

That's 3 games (maybe 2 more if FCN are in the relegation playoffs). Besides, if FCN do well and pull away the relegation zone in March/April, the odds are far more likely they shut him down for the season and have him back for preseason as opposed to rush him and hurry him back.

Chandler does not have a lot of time. This injury could not have come at a worse time and its a crippling blow to his WC chances.

The last thing USMNT fans want is to hold out hope some guy can get healthy just in time for the World Cup. Those things rarely if ever work out (Onyewu/Holden in 2010 and Davies didn't make it. John O'Brien and Reyna in 2006. Ramos in 1998).

dont think it really matters how many games chandler gets for FCN in april / may. he is due to be back at full training in mid april. first WC game is mid june. there is really no reason to think chandler will not be able to be at full strength with plenty of time to spare. if he gets a game or 2 with FCN and things go well, its a none issue

Chandler needed the Ukraine game.

You're really going to take a player to Brazil who hasn't played with the team in over a year and has a sketchy history with the team (taking 2012 off because of a lack of commitment)?

I really don't see that happening.

Everyone was hoping Stuart Holden was going to get healthy in time for the 2010 World Cup. He played in Bolton's last game of the EPL season and made the WC team but he clearly wasn't match fit. It didn't work but at least Stuart Holden had a great relationship with his team so it was understandable to push for him.

With Chandler, he doesn't have that. That's just another issue that would have to be resolved in World Cup camp (in addition hoping he is fit enough).

I don't see it.

i agree that chandler may not have a place on this team... all i am saying is that it basically has nothing to do with him currently being injured. its like wondering whether a starting QB who is due back in early november will be good to go for playoffs in early january. as of now the injury, on its own, is a non-factor. he is expected back in april

if chandler had been involved in 2013, as he should have been, this is a non-issue

until i hear a reasonable explanation, i am counting this situation as just another JK F#$% up . where was chandler in 2013? all explanations at this point are conjecture and hear-say. JKs official explanation is that he just rated evans and parkhurst (etc.) as better RBs...

people need to stop dragging chandlers name through the mud with ZERO objective information to support the claims being made. until there is some reasonable explanation, the fact that chandler is not a fixture on this team is a farce

Chandler is a good player but we really don't need him, its not like the US doesn't have multiple capable RB's. Cameron likely will start and has been very consistent all year in the EPL. Evans is a suitable second option and someone who got the job done in WCQ in 2013.

I could understand taking TC if we had nothing else, but that is not the case. We have quality options.

Evans isn't a suitable second option....at the CONCACAF, sure, against world class teams...not even close.

I wouldn't call Evans a quality option. He is an option yes, but not quality. The guy isn't even playing RB for club.

BShredd just retweeted Nuremburg, who have put up a photo of Timmy doing what I would assume to be a light workout on the pitch. If he gets to where he needs to be fitness-wise perhaps there will be a spot for him when USMNT camp convenes in a few weeks.

Chandler may just yet find his way onto the 30 man prelim roster.

I'm sticking with him as our starting rb until/unless he's not on the roster/prelim roster. He's our best option by far when healthy

Idk if best option yet, since we haven't seen much of him with the mnt. But on paper he is
Our best RB. Doubt klisnman includes him in the 30 man roster, even if he does play the last couple league games.

I'd be ecstatic if he made the 30 man. He'll need some games to get acclimated and he's running out of time.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
