People want Agudelo on their team, he just has a preference as to where to play. Shea went out an deliberately alienated the fan base of the team he was loaned out to in order to acquire playing time, thereby making his loan spell and any possibility before a world cup to impress JK. But if that tiger would have ripped Juan's head off I would have then voted for JA.

Juan's agent tweeted some things an agent shouldn't tweet over the weekend. He later deleted them.

""Did @JuanAgudelo retire? Can @SpencrWadsworth comment on that? Where's Juan? #USMNT could use him in our player pool.""

He tweeted back essentially saying 'since you're so smart, what would you be doing differently'. Deleted later. Tweeted something else also, but I forgot what it was. Had planned on posting earlier, but he's since deleted both tweets.

I'm sorry, but this is far too long being clubless. I am beginning to brace myself for a possible Freddy Adu career, not nearly as bad as that, perhaps 40% as bad.

He's falling behind big-time but I'm not gonna close the door on this whole thing until the winter transfer window shuts. No way in hell that man should be clubless beyond that time. In spite of the major payday that accompanies playing in the EPL, he would be better off getting on board somewhere, getting fitness and earning his way to England that way.

I hate that he turned down Werder Bremen and others. Yet I dont think his career is anyhere near what Freddy Adu's has been.

Agudelo finds a club and starts producing...automatic USMNT regular

But it's his attitude. If I were a manager, I don't know if I would want him after seeing how he has acted throughout this whole thing. I think Juan thinks he is a bigger commodity than he actually is. That's not a good mentality to have.

Freddy's career is already too old for him to be compared to Agudelo's. Mind you if Freddy come's back to MLS and starts producing, guess what, we have another Lee Nguyen, who from reading about him, oddly enough, he was a bit of head case as well.

The biggest distinction is age and the amount of time Agudelo has. He has already shown his pedigree. But that changes quickly. He needs to find a place asap and start producing. He's a headcase too, but he's younger than Zardes, Boyd etc, and has acquitted himself well in national team performances. So he's got the potential, time on his side, familiarity with the USMNT decision makers, he just needs to actually do something.

Before I get vilified for my Adu remark, the reality of the situation is he probably played himself out of contention for even an MLS roster spot, so he has EVEN MORE to work towards in getting back to USMNT consideration.

The one similarity between the two of them I would imagine is that they did themselves in by I guess over estimating their worth.

Is that such a bad quality? We've all known forever that Juan is Mr. Superstar with a huge ego. He wants to play in England however futile that may be.

Obviously the FA knew what they were doing by denying him his work permit. Although sitting and watching EPL live is better than watching on tv. Maybe he could have learned a thing or 2.

I agree. I thought strikers were supposed to be egotistical assholes. Playing in England would be perfect for him, but he should've played the year at Utrecht or somewhere lower first. I like his goals, just not the route he has chosen to get there. But he could still appear "Charlie Davies-style" in a few years like Davies pre CC 2009.

He'll probably drop way low in the pecking order because of AJ, Boyd, Rubin, Morris, and Zardes.. That's if they keep form and swagudelo finds a club. Then if jk still favors wood and wondork.. He didn't it to himself with his ego, plus he is ok, not that great. IMO, I prefer AJ, Boyd Rubin or Zardes before him.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
