That was a sick shot on goal. Juan over Wondo definitely.

Does his loan to Utrecht have an option to buy? I would assume not since Stoke just got him and wanted him so badly. Just curious?

I would imagine (and it's just a guess) that unless they're able to succeed in their work permit appeal in a couple of months, Utrecht will try to keep him, otherwise he'll be allowed to go back to Stoke (not that he was "there" to begin with).

But I can't picture Stoke buying him in the first place if they weren't confident that they could make something happen. Maybe they know something we don't about his WC involvement vis-a-vis the "international competitive matches" rule that would make them feel confident about his work permit possibilities?

Edit: I saw the goal on youtube, wow! Great turn and shot, if we see a few more of those then he's got his WC spot for sure.

I highly doubt Stoke would have a deal loan with a buy option giving all the efforts that Stoke have put to get him into the team. Hughes rates Agudelo highly and he believe that Agudelo will be worth a lot in the future with the talent he possesses.

My thoughts too. If he continues this form wouldn't mind him being there a while. Utrecht isn't a terrible side. Scared of the blackhole that is Stoke City.

The problem with Mark Hughes wanting Juan so badly, is that as much as Hughes wants to play a new style of football at Stoke (possession, neat passing, creative football), I keep seeing the same ol' Stoke when I watch them play. Boot the ball upfield to Crouchy and hope something good happens. That is NOT where we want Juan playing.

I predicted earlier Agudelo would have 10 goals in all competitions. Next season when he goes to Stoke he will be better since the dutch league is good for developing and making players better. Looks like it will be between Wondo, Agudelo, Boyd. Lets not leave out Boyd yet if he still keeps scoring and plays well with the mnt.

Changing the football style at Stoke isnt a day to night shift. You have to get the adequate players and adjust a new mentality. Its a process that has been going one and will keep going on until next season when it takes even more effect. Its like Brendan Rodgers with Liverpool last season. Now Liverpool has taken Brendan philosophy. Saying that Stoke and Liverpool have different type of budgets and expectations. Sometimes you have to revert back to what has worked especially in a demanding league like the EPL is.

Agudelo's main problem has never been talent. He just always picks up knocks due to his frame and loses his momentum. Then he works his way back into top form and picks up another knock. He needs to show he can handle the grind. If he does that the sky is the limit

I really never understood why he got stopped being called, when most times he played well, score Huge goals. Maybe had to do by going to chivas USA. Damm chivas USA.where players careers die.

Nice to see him battling in the box for a set piece goal. Hopefully talent prevails because his game can produce against very good competition (Russia, Argentina). I think he's our best second striker behind Dempsey.
