Haven't see this type of talented depth for the U-17's since the 1999 crop.

But as always it matters how these players transition to the senior team in a few years.

Also By my calculation USA already clinched 1st place in their group regardless of the Scotland outcome. Current group standings:

USA-6 pts
Norway-3 pts
France-1 pt
Scotland-1 pt

Since we beat Norway h2h I'd assume we hold the tie breaker. If not then as long as we dont lose and they dont win AND make up a GD of 4, we'd also clinch first. Other group is up for grabs as Turkey, Greece, and Ukraine could all finish first depending on thurs results

Watched the highlights, Wright came on and made a difference. Elijah Rice doesn't get a lot of attention for some reason, but he's a really fast, tricky player who can take on players 1v1(see first goal). Can play on the wing or striker.

Technical skill aside, I do see a lot of superiority via size and speed...

Wright looks like he could play WR in Football. Dude looks like he has at least 4.4 40 speed. And what he stands at least at 6'1" at 15.

As more and more of the US 's top athletes stick with soccer academies instead of jumping ship and heading to Football, Baseball, and Basketball; we will continue to see the rise of talent in MLS and US soccer.

Pulisic is definitely an explosive runner as well.

I've been less impressed with Wright than I have with Pulisic, of course this may be due to lack of viewing opportunities I've had. Wright should be spectacular as well, but I'm excited to see Pulisic develop.

Very good to see our U17s can perform at home and away in foreign places. Which is where they will be at in most big games. Very important.

This cycle is on track to do something great.

Imagine a USMNT full of players who would have been in the NBA, NFL, and MLB....just dwarfing Spain's players....oh a man can dream.

Tom Marshall has a good piece about Palmbaum and Sonora at mlssoccer.com. Both are at Boca Jr's. Palmbaum made the switch from Estudiantes to Boca Jr's..

Both are progressing well, and in Sonora's case he is on the verge of making Boca's first team.

Yuo usually most clubs in south America play their young players at a very early age on their first team. Which is something I hope mls does soon. Many of the players at boca made their first team debuts asteenagers. It wont be long for sonora to get first team minutes. Id say this season.
