In international play I've seen Netherlands wear white blue red kids, black and orange kits, orange kits, and this year they are wearing a blue kit with orange crest. I hardly think you know exactly who they are by kits lol...Mexico wheres all sorts of colors for their kits black, green, white and red..though the red green and white is kinda easy...Spain is wearing black and neon green for the world cup and Argentina (besides their famous sky blue and white...their aways will be horizontal regular blue and navy.... England ive seen wear blue, sky blue, navy, black, gold, and red...so i'm not sure where you think we need an identity lol....

I wish we'd wear a kit that symbolizes something other than the flag but also represents the United States just to be different. How Italy wears blue but does not resemble their flag. I've always thought it be cool to have a tribute Bald Eagle themed kit with a gold shirt, white shorts wth gold trim and dark brown socks.

Geez that is a terrible kit. I would rather go with the one he twitted in Sept. I think i will just wait until US Soccer has the final say.

As it says, kit to be unveiled at the Ukraine match.

That crest still kills me. Looks like a local U13 side's logo.

This x 1,000.

I also agree the white jersey with the collar we sort of look like England, and also I agree with the guy who says we should have kept the Stripes.

Yes, there are certain colors associated with most national teams... Netherlands wear orange, despite whatever you say about an alternate kit. Same with Argentina, Brazil, etc.

So my only conclusion would be to have kept the Stripes and made a new crest with the USA blue background and stars. Almost too easy. Then we could go with whatever for our alternate jerseys we'd like.

Nike has gone to the polo look a lot of the last year. Arsenal away kit done, France's home and away kit, PSV away kit, United's home kit, Charlton Atl, etc etc all done by Nike

Yeah I've seen most of those. I like the France kits and United's kit. I don't mind a collar that much at all actually. I think just the stark whiteness of this one just makes me think golf. It's just very blah.

Agreed. We should keep one kit that is consistent, that we always have. The stripes would be perfect.

After that, who cares what we do with our alternates. As long as we have something that is consistent and easily recognizable then it is good. Its powerful, its unique, it stands out, its what we need.

We can change our jersey all we want and try to make it "look cool" or whatever, but that doesn't mean anything if we aren't a great team or if nobody knows who we are.

Plus, it makes way too much sense from a fanbase perspective. If we always have at least one jersey that is consistent, then no matter how long from it is from when you buy it, you can still wear it cause its still relevant.

Imagine going to a USMNT game where 75% of the people in the crowd are all wearing the same uniform that the players have on the field. Thats powerful, and the psychological advantage that gives our players due to the atmosphere, and the intimidation factor that it would give opponents, is invaluable.

Just saying.

Well I have to say that I am not buying either the new home or away kit for this WC. I already have three white Jerseys, and the more than likely way jersey is meh.

Disappointing isnt enough to express the quality of these WC Jerseys... Didnt think it can get worst but looks like we broke our own record. I will stay with my centennial jersey which is a World class jersey for the world cup

Looks like a fake, not triangular stars in the neck area, besides, it is BLUE, WHITE AND RED in reverse, instead of RED WHITE AND BLUE...
