2018 should provide us good depth at the Cm/DM positions:

1. Bradley- Not much to say. He will be in his prime and captain of the USMNT.

2. Holden- If back to his best and injury free, Holden will be a huge boost for the 2018 WC cycle.

3. Diskerud- Should be one of the main Cm's heading into 2018.

4. Williams- Still one of the better Dm's in the pool, and will only be that much better in the 2018 WC cycle.

5. Kljestan- Will still be in the depth chart.

6. Luis Gil- I think he will be more of a Cm with the national team.

7. Stanko- Talented DM on the verge of being a first team player with Freiburg.

8. McCarty- Who I think is underrated. Tenacious DM and good range of passing.

9. Kitchen- Very talented, and could be a starter come WC 2018.

10. O'Neill- Very talented athlete, but he needs to stick with a position. Colorado FO is expecting him to be a midfielder this upcoming season, oh and he may not even stay in the US set-up. The main reason why is at 10.

11. Trapp- Talented, but needs to get stronger physically. Very good range of passing.

12. Marc Pelosi- Has played as a winger, LB, and as an attacking Cm for Liverpools U-19's and U-23's. Talented and a player that could vault upwards pretty fast if he plays for Liverpools first team. Hard to say where Liverpool will play him, but before his injury he was being played at CM.

13. Marlon Hairston- Very talented two-way CM, and a player I thought should have been given more of a chance in the midfield for the U-20's.

14. Alfredo Morales- Seems to have dropped off the USMNT radar. I have heard he is playing well for Inglostadt. Maybe the 2018 WC cycle will give him a rebirth with the national team.

15. Benji Joya- Is he a Cm or an attacking wide player? he plays more as a wide player for Santos.

16. Seb Lletget- CM or attacking wide player? He has played both positions for West Ham's U-23's. I see him more of a CM.

Other notable names: Mikey Lopez, Cash Wallace(DM or CB?), Russel Cannouse, Erik Lickert

Ya Powers was supposebly supposed to be in this Jan. Camp but didnt pass a concussion test. He was very impressive last season. Maybe Gaitan would be another name to add there along with Chivas usa Marky Delgado preferred position is CM but is playing FB. Doesn't Lipe play there too? A lot of talent
