So I think he's coming back to the US team.. or he at least wants to

The question is now after walking out on the team twice before big games, how is this going to play with his US teammates?

There is a lot of rumblings that he will be back for either the Friendly against Mexico, or when the U.S. takes on Jamaica for the 2 back to back games. I have no problems with it!

As much as I hate that he turned us down, Chandler is quality and I would welcome back into the team.

I think he will back

But in all fairness, it's not what the fans want, it's whether there is a problem on the team with Chandler. I can understand why players on the US team would have a problem with him. He quit on the team twice (for real games, not friendlies), when they could have used him.

Look, I think the US team should take him back but not really with "open arms" either. Fans should feel slighted too. US fans and players should have a little pride in their club and not want it to be treated the way Chandler has been treating it.

I respect his talent, but he shouldn't be anyone's favorite player right now.

lol you still mad? We are not Spain or Germany where we can pass on a talented player, we need all the young talented players we can get. There is a picture of the article (Kicker newspaper) that talks about the Chandler situation.

Chandler: "Ich moechte weiter fur die USA spielen, habe aber auf die Einsaetzte in Juni versichtet, weil ich nach der langen Saison eine Pause benoetigt habe.

Translation: "I want to continue playing for the USA, but declined the June callup because I needed a break after the long season."

Klinsmann: "Ich habe mit ihm geredet, alles ist gut. Ja, so bin ich mit Timmy verlieben. Er sollte lieber richtig Urlaub machen un danach wieder zu uns kommen."

Translation: "I spoke with him and everything is fine. I love Timmy. He is better off having a real vacation and then returning to us later."

Chandler: "Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass ich hinten lieber spiele."

Translation: "It is no secret, that I prefer playing in the back."

Also in the article it says that a callup in August for the game against Mexico in the Azteca is implied as likely.

Mad? No. The kid's heart is not in it. it's clear. Him saying "oh im too tired" is BS. It's posturing. We've all been watching sports long enough to know that that is a cop out. Every player gets tired. If it means enough to you - and playing for the national team should be - you show up ready to play even if your leg is falling off.

And the Spain argument is a crock too. I don't care if it was Messi. I'd rather have a team full of Steve Shaks giving 10000% then a bunch of Tim Chandlers waffling and holding out for something "better"

F him.

I am happy to hear this. Once Stevey starts losing steam, it will be Chandler (RB) and Lichaj (LB) and Fabian in midfield @ 2014 WC. hopefully

Yep, you're still butthurt. Chandler is more than likely Cherundolo's replacement at RB, so you have to stop being butthurt or you will have to deal with it. We are not fielding a YMCA team to compete at the World Cup, you join the list of Taylor Twellman and Jared Dubouis of people who act like 12 year old little girls whining over nothing. I can't wait to see your reaction when he plays against Mexico next month in the Azteca and in the September WCQ's against Jamaica.

Good thing you're not the coach of the USMNT or we will be screwed thank goodness for Jurgen Klinsmann!

I posted evidence that Chandler isn't waiting for Germany to call him up, while you don't care and just said F him that's very intelligent!. It doesn't matter what I think or what you think because at the end of the day it will be Klinsmann's decision, and from that article it says that there's no problems and everything is good.
