It was a friendly match against an irish side. Then again, its god to see Shea score again.

I agree. Friendly or not we all know what he's capable of. Would love to see him extend that loan. Help Barnsley in a relegation fight.

Shea getting back to his old self, hope he keeps it up. Shea in top form would be a great threat to have at WC.

Shea is a much better crosser/passer than a finisher. Keep him on the left.

I comes from knowing what a player is actually capable of doing..

Capable of doing while not under pressure vs. capable of doing while under pressure. I know what Brek is capable of in both scenarios. Soccer in EPL and World Cup is the latter.

And he is capable of doing the same thing at the latter scenario as well.

You have zero evidence of him performing outside of the MLS. I'm not saying he can't do it, but I just don't see it right now.

We saw him in the gold cup and he had some awful games aside from his goals. I dont think shea deserves to go to Brazil. He is not good enough under pressure.

If Shea had been 100% healthy up to this point and performing the same I would write him off, but he has been plague injuries and is slowly getting his form back. He needs PT.
And the pressure you speak of is an adjustment thing for players at that professional level.

Shea's loan has ended today. Barnsley is said to be keen on extending the loan until the end of the season. Also Shea has peaked the interest of another Championship team, Burnley, who has expressed interest in taking Brek on loan for the rest of the season.
Should be interesting to see what happens with him.
