Rough loss for United. Just crapped the bed after the Evra goal.

I've never seen Barca so shut down. They were getting killed in the first half and in the second they had all the possession and no way to penetrate the Atletico defense. Teams like Inter and Chelsea have played them well too, as of course Bayern did last year, but in those games Barca looked capable of scoring. Today their attack was completely toothless...by the end they resorted to simply huffing long balls into the box. That is simply unthinkable from Barcelona. And I've never seen Messi so completely invisible. What a game by Atletico.

This was a group of players that comprised a mid-table Spanish team a couple years ago...shows how unfounded a lot of the La Liga criticism is.

I knew atletico would win. I'm happy bayern won. I hope they get Chelsea, so they can take out 3 epl teams in a row, ohh man that would be soo sweeet.

Wonder what the epl/man u followers excuses are ??? Ohh wait rvp did not play. Big deal they got killed, and he is not close to zlatan

I said it about a year back USA should of gotten Diego simeone as head coach, but he went to athletico Madrid. I think he is the best coach in Europe right now, yes better than guardiola.

No excuses Bayern is the best club in the world, United is the 7th best in the PL. Galaxy would have beaten them for sure but United just isn't good enough.

IDK a USL Pro team might've beaten them...

Yeah....pumped....really pumped. Hopefully not shoot outs though, BR plans to buy a top class LB and Sakho will be given games. Maybe that shores up the backline.

What would be the chances of seen maybe Bijev or Pelosi for Liverpool maybe in a Capital One Cup? Since Liverpool will have more games?

Slim to none on PT, Bijev moreso than Pelosi, as BR will be signing a few players over the summer not to mention Suso, Borini, Coady, and Wisdom coming back from loan. BR is really big on training, so if they are invited to Melwood to train and perform really well then he could add them to the 18 for a Cup game. Joao Teixeira, Jordan Ibe, Brannagan, and a couple of others have made those games, only twice have they actually gotten PT, Teixeira and Ibe.

Not surprising. Eventually, you think they should go on loans to look for first team football? Like Borini? Liverpool will be stacked with talent moreso after this transfer window with BR making the squad deeper.

BR seems to do a good job of juggling when to bring players in and put them out on loan. I think Pelosi has a good shot at going out on loan towards the end of next season. With him just coming back into the squad with the lengthy injury, they will want to keep him around for the first part of the year to ensure he's handled right. I would venture a 3 month loan in Feb could be in the cards. Bijev will probably be stuck with the U21s, though I would like some of the others that are closer to 1st team will go out on loans and allow Bijev to play every game at the U21s. Neither one of them are ready for PL week in week out, I would probably see a loan to Birmingham in the Championship if BR views that the Jordan Ibe loan there was successful.

It looks like Courtois wont be able to play if atletico draw chelsea. There is a clause in his contract preventing him from playing unless atletico pay a fee to chelsea which atletico's president says they cant afford. Would be a huge loss for atletico.
