Haha real funny.. Donovan didn't choke in the 02 and 2010 World Cups which are BIGGER moments than MLS games and he's still produced in finals..

Donovan scored a PK at the last WC in the round of 16. If there is any US player I would want taking a pk in next summers WC it would be Donovan. He rarely missed. He had a cold streak when he came back after his sabbatical but usually he is always clutch.

Zusi looked terrified when he took his Pk.

Kreis is an excellent coach but he doesn't have a great record in big games. If (when) we crash and burn in Brazil this summer, Kreis will be the favorite to take over the job but I don't think he's quite ready yet. People forget how young he is. Before he gets the NT job I'd like to see him take over a team with better players, bigger egos, and win big games with them (like the MLS Cup) under the pressure of high expectations. That is much similar to the task of managing the USNT than taking a small-time team and getting them to punch above their weight. I'm looking forward to the day when the next generation of coaches, guys like Kreis, Porter, Berhalter, Cherundolo, etc., take over the reins, but we're not quite there yet.

1 and only and he almost caused his team. In the other hand Donovan has missed 2 pks in final games that caused his team a cup.

Ok, cause you said he "tends to choke in big moments", which implies that he has choked in big moments more than once.

He missed one PK. Calm down.

If kc would of lost i bet everyone here would be bashing on zusi and calling him a choker, but it dint happenis amazing how peoples opinions change in matter of secs. For Example lets say beckerman gets a game winning goal vs Portugal or someone in the wc people here would be going ape nuts and would be begging klissman to start him every game and would considered him one of the best mnt players. Is just psychological how peoples emotions swing.

That would be only you since you are accusing a player of missing ONE PK a choker. No one would want Beckerman to start every game if he scored...maybe you but that's it.

Nice to see some MLS coverage on Sportcenter but still a long way to go...

College football is 99% of the talk. One of the worse days to have the MLS final.

Wild finish, SKC looked to be the better side. Collin had a hell of a game, the equalizer plus the winning penalty. Not a bad day for him. Beckerman had a damn good game too, I would have made him the MVP if RSL would have won.

Not only that but even in the early days of the league I remember the MLS Cup being on network television. The fact that the game was on ESPN instead of ABC is a regression in itself.

Intersting opinion, I usually go to ESPN for sports before I even check the other networks. I think of ESPN as a step up actually. I would be interested to hear what others think about this!
