Seattle close to signing Roman Torres. Awesome move. He needs to be in MLS after a great Gold Cup.
Good for seattle, that guy is such a beast!

Maybe not a star, but Toronto have signed Herc Gomez. How long before he is starting over Jozy?

I am tired of seeing nothing but central americans playing in our league, why can't the MLS go for more guys in South America or Europe, hell even Mexico?! Shit I am half central american and I can't stand seeing those guys come over here. We need to raise the bar, not be content with mediocracy

Is Cheaper to Sign players from Central America than from South America. Usually most of the good young talented from south america get snatched up by euro teams or mexico at a high prize. MLS Does not wanna invest that much in them.

Not sure it's a matter of WANT, but more a matter of CAN'T.

First time I think this thread has been used for a star signing that isn't a player, but I just saw that the ink is drying on the deal that will make Alessandro Nesta Miami FC's first head coach.
Gotta say I'm pleased, even though it's not an MLS club it still speaks to the nature of the game in the US, that all these big names want to be a part of helping the sport grow here, and making a lasting impact.

Uh, yeah. I think self-interest is more of a motivator. Which is fine w/ me.

No reason why the whole thing can't be a win-win lol
They get paid and we get a generation of new players molded by former world beaters.

Yeah, it's kinda like the script when a player goes to a big team: "I've always dreamed of. . ." For some reason they use the word "dream" a lot. Must be a Euro thing. . .

Ben Arfa rumored to NYCFC in Feb of 2015 had a heck of a season in France. Now being rumored that Barcalona would like to sign him.
Perhaps $ on him as a DP would have been a better investment than Lamps.
