WHAT. I mean his entire season. He is shy to go to goal when openings present themselves

Well yes sigi has a game plan for him and he probably doesn't encourage yedlin to take many shots but instead pass, play defense. Im sure Klissman will let him loose and play the way he wants to and be more aggressive on the field.

He is a young player and im sure he is a bit afraid if he disobeys sigi he would get benched. Yedlin inst shy of anything.

Yedlin is shy? Look at his goals against UANL, Colorado, and Portland. In my opinion, Yedlin is better as a winger than a fullback.

If Yedlin see's significant time against South Korea, I would say it's safe to assume Klinsmann may be seriously considering him as an option.

Should be interesting to see what happens the next several months.

God forbid if Cameron or any other potential RB's get hurt, which could happen to Evans who has always had an injury prone tag stuck to him, then other players need to be able to step in i.e. Chandler, Yedlin, or Parkhurst. Hopefully Yedlin gets significant minutes i.e. a half to work at RB against South Korea because I have always been a little iffy about Parkhurst at RB.

I just want to point one thing out. Dempsey will start in brazil no matter what his situation club wise is. I don't care if he absolutely sucks with his club but with the mnt he is magic. He is a top 3 talent/soccer player we have PERIOD!!!!!

For myself, I am hoping Yedlin is able to cross that bridge. He definitely has the potential in both athleticism and ball skill to accomplish it.

He doesn't have the defensive chops yet. I would rather he gets converted to RW.

for me, most interesting aspect of this game will be CMs... i am assuming will be beckerman / diskerud

pretty big audition... with competition at CM a standout performance might put either one in good position, while a mediocre showing might really hurt their chances

Interesting thought. What exactly (if you do not mind) is your thought when you say "he doesn't have the Defensive Chops"? Also, as a RW, I agree (though it did not cross my mind) he would be strong without a doubt. However, being that the RW is most likely going to be Donovan or Zusi depending on Klinsi's lineup, would it not be better to locate a right fullback? Just conversing.

Yedlin as a supersub to stretch the field as RW in the 65 minute. Neither LD nor Zusi play out very wide, they migrate centrally.

I like it. Wouldn't have thought it. But it definitely would have potential.

In his rookie season Yedlin was one of the best RB's in MLS even defensively. But I could see him get some time at RW for the Nats.

I'll be there. Slept on tix back in December and missed out on decent seats. Brokers and other resellers were price gauging but I knew axs.com, being the scumbag website it is, would release more tix this week. I'm convinced they sell and post to secondary markets initially but then repost at face on their site.

I got 5 seats in a corner sideline section for face at $35 + fees.

As for the game, I really would enjoy seeing Yedlin and Gil play quite a bit.

Ah I didn't know that. This is my first game and decided it was worth it. I am third row in 119. I am kinda bummed I didn't do it earlier either. Is there tailgating before hand?

I am looking forward to seeing younger ones out there as much as anyone else.
