I like your 4-1-4-1 Stone (or is it a 4-1-2-3?), especially 2 playing behind the striker. The only personnel changes for me would be to take Beasley out and slot LD at LW, Move Zusi to RW and play Gil next to Mix

To me is more of a 433, but could easily morph into a 4141.

I'd like to see Farrell compete with Evans and Beltran at RB

If it wasn't a WC prep year, i'd like to see Trapp and Sandoval...also Powers and O'Neil

I hope Agudelo prioritizes the January camp...probably his only chance to be included this cycle.

I'm more interested in seeing the new guys coming up than the veteran MLS nats bubble players trying to get on the plane.

For me, the camp boils down to seeing Klute at LB and Yedlin hopefully getting a look at attacking flank mid.

I don't understand why they don't transition Yedlin to RW already. He has so much more potential there.

Yeah, I know, he might be able to help the nats this cycle on the flank. Fullback will have to wait until 2018, but there is no harm in seeing what he looks like at RM. Especially since the FJ will most likely be needed at LB at the WC, which probably means LD on the left flank. I'm thinking Yedlin's speed would give opposing defenders more to think about than Zusi or any of the other RM options. Yedlin combines well and looks comfortable up field...this is the perfect opportunity to see want it looks like with the nats.

Beasley won't be available for the January Camp. Spring Liga MX season starts at the end of January, so he will be in pre-season with Puebla.

No Liga MX players will be available for the January Camp.

The givens for the January Camp (unless on loan) will be:
Donovan, Dempsey, EJ, Zusi, Diskerud, Beckerman, Evans, Besler, Gonzalez, Goodson, Rimando & Davis (although I don't care for him).
Not sure about some of the leagues in Europe's winter break schedule, but if available would like to think that Johannsson & Boyd would get called in.
Players who should be looked at:
Klute, Yedlin, Ferrell, Zardas, O'Brien, Agudelo,

With our WC opponents now known, what new/inexperienced player would you call into the January camp to play against one of our opponents?

For me I would like to see Yedlin for his speed (not at RB but on the wing)...could come in handy against Ghana.

Shit I'd call on everyone, I'd call in 100 players from MLS and Scandinavia! Haha seeiously though I just don't see any players from our league to compete much against those teams.

I'd like to see Freddy Adu, because he's still the most technically gifterd player we have and we still don't have a better playmaker.

When is Gatt expected to be back from his injury? I would gladly call an out of form Gatt into camp so long as it wasn't jeopardizing his recovery.

@ bjelks

Look man lets forget about Freddy alright, the dude is like 40 years old anyways. Gifted? really? what team does he play on? How many teams has he played on? Look man just trying to be a realist, the dude is not coming back. Accept it.

@skangles

You can't rush a player who is recovering from a long term injury like that one he suffered, so I hardly doubt he be ready come the World Cup.

Right but when is Gatt due back? I thought it was around now but I haven't read anything about him in ages.
