Its safe to assume that after appearing briefly in Crowd Goes Wild, Donovan stated that he will take a vacation and get ready for January. no brainier since he is still nursing and injury. Regardless which Scandinavia and MLS might we see? Any surprises?

Donovan and Gonzo have both stated that they will not be going on loan. And Zusi has eluded that he probably won't be going on loan either.

The only player being linked with a loan is Deuce, and even then nothing may not materialize.

I expected that not many MLS players involved with the USMNT would not be heading out on loan. Makes no sense. And the potential of getting injured is greater. No potential WC player wants to get an injury on loan to force him out of the WC.

Does anyone else think Chris Schuler has played well enough to get a January Camp call-up?

When he came back Schuler solidified that defense, and has probably been RSL's best player since august.

He has a lot of traits that are close to Brooks, but Schuler is better in the air, and is probably a tad more bull doggish as a defender.

For me I would like to see him called in.

You have Gonzo, Goodson, and Besler. After that which CB has shown the best behind those three in MLS? And that CB is Schuler.

Better in the air than Brooks, but worse on the ground. He was a bit shaky in the LA series. Sone of his positioning on crosses was downright scary. But that stuff can be fixed. He's like a clumsy Gooch at this point.

A breakdown of MLS teams of the possible players that could be invited to January Camp.

RSL: Schuler, Beckerman, Gil, Rimando, Findley

SKC: Feilhaber, Zusi, Besler, Sapong

LA: Lando, Zardes, Gonzo

Seattle: Evans, Yedlin, EJ

San Jose: Goodson

Houston: Davis, Bruin

Colorado: Powers, O'Neill, Klute

New England: Rowe, Nguyen, Farrell

DC: Hamid, Pontius

Philly: McInerney, Okugo

NY: McCarty

Chicago: Sean John, Mcgee

Scandinavia: Diskerud, Ogunbiyi

Now all of these guys won't be selected if Klinsmann stays with a 23 man roster. If I were him I would bring in a 30 man roster. Get a good two weeks of training from the guys involved then choose a game day roster to play South Korea out of the 30. And then do the same in Brasil.

You should probably add Wondo, Beltran, and Ashe to that list. Wondo played in the last two US fixtures and Beltran and Ashe have both been called up this year. Not saying I want them to be there but I would bet on at least Wondo being there.

Yeah, nice adds with Beltran and Ashe. I always seem to forget a few.

I always forget about Wondo. I think I know the reason why.

Agree and remember brooks is playing a lot better completion week in and week out. Well was when he started.

Still don't understand why Matt Hedges and/or George John haven't been called in yet. Am I missing something?

I think Schuler might be called into the January camp, if only for lack of options. Yes, he's been playing well, but is he USMNT ready, I don't think so. Brooks just needs to stay healthy. Luckily, his injury is minor, might only keep him out a week.

Pontius's health might force him to miss since he may still be rehabbing in January

Yeah Matt Hedges or George John may get a call-up, but Zimmerman was playing with Matt Hedges at the end of the season. Does John have an injury?

Yep I think John was injured at that time. If he could just stay healthy he would have been capped by now, when healthy he is one of the top center-backs in mls. With Gonzo, Goodson, Besler probably getting called up there is probably just one spot left in a roster of 23. So pick from Okugo, O Neill, John, Schuler, and Ogunbiyi.

Also Agudelo could be brought into the camp to get one last showcase for a transfer ala Bedoya this past Jan Camp

I am expecting Agudelo to already have a team.
