Yedlin i think is the only player that could make a push to brazil no one else after. Not that he would play but he could be an emergency player just in case of injuries, suspensions. He is extremely weak tho but a couple yrs from now he will be more bulky and stronger.

cameron might be a "clear rb option" but he isn't the starter. the best rb the us has had over the past few years is clearly eric lichaj. klinsmann is an idiot for not playing him more and should be fired. if you can't even make the most obvious roster choices like lichaj starting at rb or kljestan starting at cm, than you don't know enough about soccer to be the head coach.

wow..... lets fire our coach because he has put out a lineup that has led us to the best season in US soccer history.... he is probably the only coach in US history that would have taken a cm (evans) and stuck him at rb.... i was skeptical... more then skeptical at first but he did a great job. now im not saying evans is the answer, but u get my drift? Klinssman is the best coach that we will ever have, and I trust that he will figure out which RB he will need to start vs what teams..... I think klinssman actually might start evans vs ghana, and Cameroon vs Portugal and Germany.... OR if Cherundolo is healthy and playing at a high level, then Cherundolo will play the first game and if he does well will play vs portugal and germany.... and that last situation i believe would be the best case.... i dont think lichaj will be an option nor should he until he proves himself, and he has yet to do so.... kljsten is another situation that i wont get into to much, but i think he needs more looks

EXACTLY. this guy started brad evans, some decent cm over LICHAJ, one of the best defenders we've had in a long time!!! it's not just that though, there are tons of other reasons to fire him. i mean diskerud over kljestan???? hardly any PT for boyd???? COME ON. a coach that makes decisions like that clearly doesn't know what he is doing. and the results haven't been that good. every time we play anyone outside of concacaf we get our asses kicked. ok, there was the bosnia game, but we won that because they subbed off all their players. that italy team was totally experimenting, they were missing all of their best players. and the german team was their c team...how many of us had heard of more than one or two players on that team (without looking at wikipedia)? little european countries like belgium, scotland, and austria beat up on us. when was the last time one of those teams made a world cup or even a euro? 1990??? at least under coach bradley we could beat these types of teams. we beat spain in the confederations cup. we have regressed under klinsmann. with another coach in charge we would definitely make it out of the group stage (other than ronaldo we are better than portugal and now we are so much more talented than ghana) but with klinsmann at the helm we don't have a chance.

Stoke play Manchester United today. Not sure who they'll have at LM but it should be yet another good test to evaluate Geoff.

After another game of Cameron at RB, what is so clear about him starting in Brazil? His crosses today were average. As long as we are using a converted RB, I think Evans may still be a better option

Rb is wide open. There are no locks. This upcoming year cherundolo, and Chandler will make a case for themselves.

Ridiculous. Cameron was the best player on the field for stoke. Defensively he was a rock. Young was shut down, as was any attack coming from the right side. His crosses were dangerous all night. Some could have been a bit higher but they always caused awkward clearances from the Man U defense and won a few corners. Cameron may not be the clear RB option, but that is only because he may be needed elsewhere on the field.

Let's start here, shall we? Eric Lichaj is not one of the best defenders we've had in a long time. He is a serviceable right back. If he was "one of the best defenders we've had in a long time", he wouldn't have been fighting for playing time at Aston Villa and then shipped off to the Championship. He would've been a consistent starter.

Hardly any PT for Boyd because Jozy Altidore has been on fire for the USMNT (and was on fire for his club until the Sunderland debacle). And AJ has been on fire for AZ and has shown well for the MNT in his showings. Thus, not a whole lot of playing time for Boyd.

I hate to start flinging insults, but YOU telling us that Jurgen doesn't know what he is doing is quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen on this site. He is a decorated player and manager, managing a national football team. You are a kid who has clearly shown over and over again that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Ooof. Here we go again...

Did you happen to notice that Bosnia kept Dzeko on the whole game? Or Lulic? Or Begovic? And it's not like we had our A-team, either. I mean, this was our starting XI:

Howard
Evans-Brooks-Cameron-Johnson
Bradley-Jones
Bedoya-Mixx-EJ
Altidore

And you wanna know who we brought on as subs? Edgar Castillo, Joe Corona, AJ, Sacha, and Bobby Wood. World beaters, right there.

Original post from tjsoccer93

that italy team was totally experimenting, they were missing all of their best players.

WRONG.

Buffon, Maggio, Barzagli, Ogbonna, Criscito, Motta, Pirlo, Marchisio, Nocerino, Matri, Giovinco

Subs that were used: De Rossi, Chiellini, Pazzini, Abate, Montolivo, Borini

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.

A LOT OF US. BECAUSE WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.

It was not a C team. B team, maybe. But look at the quality of this lineup. I would argue they are STILL a better team than what the USMNT could normally put out.

Ter Stegen, Jansen, Howedes, Mertesacker, Reinartz, Lars Bender, Sven Bender, Schurrle, Draxler, Podolski, Klose

Scotland beat up on us? PROVE IT.

Belgium was in the 1990 WC, 1994 WC, 1998 WC, 2000 Euros, and 2002 WC.

Scotland was in the 1992 and 1996 Euros and the 1998 WC.

Austria was in the 1990 WC, 1998 WC, and 2008 Euros (as hosts)

STOP. TALKING. NONSENSE.

I'm exhausted.

Its getting to the point where i think tjsoccer93 is a troll saying anything to cause a fight. Are you serious you gotta think before you speak sometimes. If you havent been a fan for that long and you dont know what you are talking about then at least have the courtesy of saying it instead of being straight forward with an impression that you know what you're talking about
