Everyone also needs to remember that both games this last week were away matches at the other team's home stadiums. A distinct homefield advantage. At the World Cup, the US will be the most represented nation amongst fans, which should give us a little edge.

I actually think we look pretty good other than understandably shaky at the back. Since its just a large merry go round back there. EJ looks too confident as always but the rest has been alright I think. Should be 1-1 no question. Jozy has looked good which should help him going back to Sunderland hopefully

I think it's quite obvious Jones holds Bradley back. He looked so much better when Jones was taken off.

Both winger positions for me are still my main area of concern.

embarrassing FOR USA couldn't score a goal and let alone lose to a mediocre team. i know no fabian, lando, demps, but c'mon we have no depth that's the problem. we simply rely on the same players as always. no excusesohh at least we played good and looked good. id rather have usa play terrible get outshot, and outpossed than lose. At the end results mattrer and usa failed. I am not confident going into wprld cup. I think our best shot is to play a 4-4-2 and counter the whole game.

Embarrassing? I think that is going a little far.

The US had some very good chances and did score a goal by the way.

I think the US lacked a bit of guile and creativity something I think both Donovan and Deuce can provide.

Anyone still think those two should not be on the WC team?

Oh and the book is out on Bedoya. He will always look to cut inside. Not once did he try to take a player on by going on the outside. Personally I think the USMNT has looked better with Zusi at RW. But that will be a moot point once Donovan is back.

Disappointed with the loss, but love the way we responded in the second half. Absolutley battered them just couldn't finish anything. Austria had alot of things go there way, unlucky for us. The biggest problem in our attack was the lack of width. We could stretch them wide so it made it very easy for them to clog the middle. Add Donovan, Dempsey and Fabian into the mix and this game would have been very different. Finally, Cameron is the starting RB PERIOD and Gonzo and Brooks have some serious potential as a WC pairing.

Yeah it seems people are forgetting that the USMNT was missing Donovan, Dempsey, Zusi, and Fabian.

For those that are being a bit dramatic after the loss today, Spain and Belgium lost as well.

Exactly Donovan for me is the play maker for this team. Still a bit upset Boyd dint get more playing time i think he could of made the difference. But yes fabian and demps are hugely important for usa.

So Cameron over evans that was proven today gonzo looked good. Aron play ok but jozy didn't help him much but jozy did look better when Boyd got into the game wings looked like crap. Losing isn't a big deal but how we are playing is a little concerning.

Brooks wont start this wc but is a star in the making. He just needs to work on is positioning and communication. He has a great upside for me.
