Crossing my fingers for Switzerland, USA, Cameroon, Greece group

I honestly dont mind getting a giant in the group (Germany, Spain, etc) as long as we dont get something like this..
Argentina, USA, France, Netherlands (thats 3 teams in the tops 13 and France-20's). If the US were to emerge from a group like that it would be safe to say soccer in the US has arrived.

I wouldn't say arrived, what if we lose in the first round. Then it wouldn't really matter. If we make the semis then i could say we have arrived.

Why are you trying to be a soccer snob lol..you sound like the moron that you are. I don't need rankings to tell me that England has a superior roster at almost every position. Let me guess... you were impressed by the draw we had with them in the last WC lol right? You were in love with that abomination of a play Robert Green did...lmao.

Maybe you don't realize...England won a group in Europe...thats SLIGHTLY HARDER than winning a group in CONCACAF lol.... your super lame. It's one thing to support our Stars n Stripes..its another to be totally oblivious to the facts.....

Tell me why you your not impressed with England Friend....

lol lol lol what are u one of those cabbage patch kids with the string in the back?

England are more in between generations than the US is.

Goalkeeping- not so much
Defense? I suppose you are right Kyle Walker is frightening (sarcasm intended)
Midfield? oooh James milner and more aging players alongside.
Forwards? yeah Sturridge is good, but what else do they have? rickie Lambert?

apparently you think we would lose 3-0 to england hmmmmmm someone watches too much EPL

Gerrard and Lampard (with a d, not a t) are old and never performed well for the NT. Certainly by Cole you don't mean Joe Cole, do you? He might be good in video games but he's not in their NT picture. If you mean Ashley Cole, than why bring up Baines, they both play the same position. Walcott is overrated, Chamerberlain is inconsistent, and Richards? Really? Dude doesn't play that much and it'll be Carrick anyway. Cleverley is incredibly overrated...England is a lot better than us and would most likely beat us but if you think they're really good than you're drinking the American EPL cool-aid.

I think England is overrated, and i bet they would struggle in concacaf to make the world cup. Playing in central America in bad fields and hostile environments is extremely tough. Thats why euro teams don't come and play there their afraid to get embarrassed or get injured. And lets not forget at Azteca. is been a looooong time since a euro team beat them there. and here in usa is very tough. I'm sure usa would of gotten 1st or at least 2nd in their group. Their tough teams but very beatable. I always tough south america has better teams than Europe. Reason why Europe has a few more world cups is because they get 13 teams. give south America 8 teams at least and they would easily have the most world cups. And on top of that Europe has hosted more world cups than south America.

Also south Africa for Spain making an illegal sub. Bit WC qualifiers it will be investigated but at the end Algeria will go trough. Reason because the federation files the roster to fifa before a qualifier and they review it and if they don't find anything their reliable, not Algeria.

Look I see what you're saying, England has more talented players, but really? Your impressed with England winning their group, which included: Ukraine, Poland, Montenegro, Moldova, and San Marino Ukraine is respectable, but the rest of that group was horrid. Give me games at San Marino and Moldova over games in Jamaica and Panama any day. Hell, if rather play at Ukraine than at Azteca almost any year. You don't think USA could win that group?

Anyone who thinks it's tougher to qualify for the WC from CONCACAF vs. UEFA is a f*^ing idiot and ought to be banned from this site.

Never said that it was easier to qualify out of EUFA than out of CONCACAF; it isn't. I was merely pointing out that you shouldn't overstate the strength of an English team who, in recent history, has done very little in major tournaments, simply because they won A UEFA group. Is England good? Yes. Is EUFA much stronger than CONCACAF? Certainly. Is winning a group that included such powerhouses as Poland, Moldova, and San Marino THAT impressive? Meh

Should be UEFA, not EUFA

There will be no easy groups no matter what the draw. We have about a 25% chance of drawing a group we should get out of. Can't wait for Dec 6th.

Yeah, I'm psyched/ nervous as h***. Always excited for World Cup draws, it's the time when the Eorld Cup officially feels "real" to me. Nervous though, because it seems to me that it's almost a guarantee we'll end up in the Group o'Death, seeing as how we're by far the strongest Pot B team, making us the only Pot B team that could theoretically be favoured to make it out of a group (based on FIFA rankings). Numbers be darned though, I'm pumped for the drawing!
