Pleasantly surprised by Shea. I take back my negativity towards him. Hopefully if he gets a shot he is consistent.

But that's the problem right there. He IS too inconsistent. Hand him a start on Tuesday, but ye be warned. I can't say that I've ever seen him string together multiple games for the USMNT where he impressed. Too often he disappears or gives up possession too easily.

Sorry folks but evans, beasley and bedoya just dont cut it for me...

bedoya gets too scared to keep possession, constantly cuts in on the wing
Beasley just back passes it, annoying
evans is too slow

Klinsmann is such an idiot with his substitutions

He should've at half:

Shifted cameron to RB, subbed in brooks
Lichaj to LB for beasley

Shea to LW to replace kljestan
AJ and boyd to relpace altidore and ej
Diskerud for jones

AND if klinsmann was smart with his roster selection, arriola for bedoya

The kids 18 o.0 He just started to play in this season Liga MX. I dont see much wrong with Bedoya. Only thing is he cant cross to save his life because he isnt a Left winger.

I hated the starting line-up from the minute I saw it.

1. EJ is not a winger, he looks subpar every time he plays out wide. He does better as a forward but even then I still like EJ, Deuce and Donovan all better alongside Jozy.

2. Bedoya underwhelmed today, today he needed to make more of a case. Zusi still clearly the best option wide right with Donovan.

3. FJ stock improved and he wasn't with the team. He is by far the best left sided mid/winger we have. So crucial to our attack.

4. Cameron>Jones in the middle of the park. He is a great passer and does well defensively. As a CB he would caught 2-3 times badly today.

5. Kljestian is eh...not enough pace but is better playing as a CM over a CAM like he did today.

6. Johannsson, Shea and Disk changed the game, especially the first 2. Johannsson is now the first guy off the bench or arguably a starter in this team even with everyone healthy. I like Jozy and Donovan(who is best when he plays up top with space.) but after that AJ is ahead of Decue(who is not in form atm) and EJ.

7. Howard was good again.

and can we please ALWAYS play with 2 forwards.

If we started the game with AJ, Disk and She we would have won by at least 2 goals. They could have had 2 in the last 10 minutes.

OK so what did we learn from sacha? Opinions because i felt like he wasnt even playing.
Johansson did well.
Brek Shea did well as i expected idk why he gets so much hate or underrated he just need playing time
Lichaj - solid.
Beasly - seems to get pushed around easily.
Eddie Johnson in my opinion was terrible

we got some pretty concrete evidence that sacha is one of our 2 best 8s. here is what sacha did:

- did not lose possession ONCE and completed 100% of his passes. 100%
- set up EVERY marginally dangerous moment US has while he was on
-- cushion header to set up jozy
-- flick to find jozy inside 18 (people would be losing their shit if that had been diskerud)
-- pinpoint diagonal pass to find gonzo on edge of 18 following a corner (gonzo skied the cross into the stands)
-- initiated the ONLY legit wing attacks by twice playing quick passes to set bedoya free down the right side

what, exactly, are people wanting from SK that he is not providing?
please tell me how jones demonstrated he is more influential as an 8...
while your at it, tell me who had a better performance. bradley? why?

ill be waiting

jurgen klinsmann is an absolute joke of a coach. this has nothing to do with result or overall performance. has to do with terrible choices that JK makes over and over and over...

- brad evans is a TERRIBLE CHOICE as a RB. he is poor defensively and he is NON-EXISTENT offensively. i believe the quote from ian darke was "went by him like he (evans) was standing still"... and "probably deserved a yellow" ... chandler, cameron, lichaj, yedlin and farrell are ALL superior options

- why is jones an automatic selection? what does he give you? MAYBE enough to play a 6. nowhere near enough to play an 8. what am i missing?

- EJ again on the left? seriously? since switching to current tactics no one has as many starts on the left as EJ. and he is WORTHLESS every single time

- sacha as 10? are you a freaking idiot JK? obviously you are

other thoughts
= cameron - bad challenges, bad decisions, bad passes. how bout we stick with CBs at CB. just a thought
= gonzo - thought he was rock solid
= beasley - whatever
= bradley - jones holds him back
= bedoya - has started 8 of the last 10. i think he is ok - not in my 23
= altidore - thought his hold-up play was awful. nothing that went into his feet stuck

best field players... gonzo and kljestan (see above post)

I agree with almost everything you said rainOshine.

EJ on the left has failed time in and time out.

Sacha can't play a #10 role but is a solid 8. Cameron is better in the mid and we need to play with 2 forwards. The 4-2-3-1 was not effective at all with todays line up.

I also agree with the assessment of Bedoya. A good player that should be in and around the 23 but nowhere near a starter.

Jones weighs down Bradley. Bradley can do it all. He can drop deep and distribute but also lead the attack. I hate the Bradley-Jones pairing. Jones is the most overrated player in the whole US pool.

100% accurate on everything you said. What I cant stand about klinsmann besides his roster selections is the timing of his substitutions.

Why the $%^$ would you sub on boyd at the 90th min ???? Put him in the 80th minute.

Jones has always been my favorite player but he just cant be on the field with bradley in the middle. One needs to sit, and I think it has to be jones.

KLjestan best field player? Not saying much really. And quite frankly you have to be looking through rose tinted glasses to be talking him up.

Bob ley to Lalas: how do you asses Kljestan in that CAM role?

lalas: meh.

That's Kljestan's USMNT career in a nutshell. Meh=Average player. Could he provide more in the #8? Haven't seen it. He isn't as good as MB is at initiating attacks, and his defense is average.

What Kljestan does provide is possession of the ball. He will pass backwards and sideways more often than not.

Kljestan proved to me again that he isn't some player that has the ability to really influence the game. He is an average player. For me he is a sub when the USMNT needs to hold on to the ball in possession to kill off a game.

I do agree that the Jones Bradley pairing isn't exactly great either. I want to see more Diskerud/Bradley.

Bradley>than Jones period at any CM position. Jones should probably be on the bench.

Like I said I want to see more Diskerud/Bradley.

Come world cup I see it being Bradley-Klestan pairing. Iceman alone up top. Donovan right, Dempsey middle, Fabian left. Besler-Brooks middle, Evans right,Beasley left.

Kljestan had two passes in the attacking third. Not very good.

To be honest I still wouldn't mind seeing a Kljestan/Bradley pairing. Maybe we see that against Austria.
