I'm not going to include people who didn't come from my era (no Pele, Maradona, Bochini, Cruyff, etc.).

And what does favorite mean? Is it off-the-field? On the field? I'll just put my favorite players to watch over the years (not including their personality or anything like that):

1. Zidane
2. Xavi
3. Riquelme
4. Guti
5. Figo
6. Iniesta
7. Aguero
8. Daniel Montenegro (OK he's the one that's out of place but he carried my team when I was going to their games in the Apertura '08 and was always a really exciting player so he makes my list)
9. Messi
10. Veron

Honorable mention: Rui Costa

American past: Reyna
American present: Torres

Too many Italians!

I'm a huge Juve fan, they're probably the only team in Europe that I really support fully (unless there's a yank on the team, obviously) no matter what.

Plus, if you listen to any of the 2008-2010ish Fox Soccer broadcasts, the overpronounciation of "Marchisio" is bound to put a smile on your face!

If we were putting a 20-25 list then there'd be less Italians as a percentage of the list.

I'm just giving you a hard time. I have a dislike for most Italian players.

Inzaghi and Vieri are basically the only Italians that I don't mind.
