I'm so bummed. New York in the finals would have been so good for TV ratings...this league needs them in there at least once so they can increase their exposure. Random sports fans would definitely tune in to watch Thierry Henry vs. Keane/Donovan. A Houston vs. Portland final, on the other hand, would get abysmal ratings. NY should have put that first game away and they are really unlucky to not advance. Oh well, that's the playoffs.

Gotta say, I've been a Premier League snob for years, refusing to watch MLS for the most part, even with the Red Bulls in my backyard. Watched the game last night and was very impressed with the Red Bulls even though they lost. They outplayed Houston and really looked like a well organized, sharp team. Unlucky t lose that one. They earned my respect and I'm going to watch them more.

Funny thing...right before that match, the MSG channel here in NY had a replay of a 1976 game between the NY Cosmos and Tampa Bay Rowdies. Everything about it was just god awful...you could tell the ex world class players were out there just goofing around, the US players were terrible, the field was Yankee Stadium (all dirt), and the announcers had no idea what they were talking about. And the shorts looked like bikini briefs. Too funny. Shows how far we've come though. The US brand of soccer is light years ahead of that now.

the games tonight are on, ESPN has the LA RSL game and NBC sports has the Seatle Portland game. NBC and ESPN will broadcast the rest of the games. I was so pissed they weren't on last night as well. Incredible OT games.

Good, I seriously almost quit watching MLS. I would have been ok with them showing none of it on regular TV, but why show 1/2 on regular then cut you off. I will we watching tonight, looking foward to both matches.

There was nothing on ESPN last night of importance. It boggles my mind that at least the NY V Houston game wasn't shown last night on ESPN.

I know everyone wants to blame MLS for the low ratings on national TV, but when are ESPN and NBC going to start taking some flak for virtually never advertising for these games? Once and awhile you might see an MLS ad, but you only get the amount out of what you put into it. And quite frankly both ESPN and NBC have been found wanting when it comes to advertising for MLS.

Sucks that ratings will be extremely low. NFL Thursday, Oregon Vs Stanford top 5 match up on espn2. Nba games on TNT.

At least the games are on national TV. Low ratings are better than no ratings.

RSL should win it, damn Spanish announcers on ESPN Deportes Radio make MLS games that much more exciting than English announcers lol!

Zardes is absolutely overrated idk how people have him high he is an air head and honestly he sucked all year. been all year. cannot evr put a ball on goal ever. he should get cut. Arriola should of been at that position i been saying for 2 yrs arriola should be with the first team but they blew it.

No mike magee no Beckham and you have a this goalless LA. So frustrating watching LA in these playoffs. not deserving of the 3rd title. So many terrible mistake, lack of communication and lack of decision making. Keane trying to be messi geez.

Lol in no way did LA dominate tonight. RSL was the better team by far.

LA was weak tonight they didnt replace what they had lost from last season. No beckham hurt but not having a guy like magee is what in my opinion killed LA. La needed players who could perform in the playoffs and missing magee was the final blow. This might have been one of LD worst game he was awful tonight. How robbie rogers was starting tonight is beyond me.
