I'd argue that it's not really fair to say Messi is still better than Ronaldo. Not off current form at least.

Ronaldo is not at half the level messi is, and never will. If Messi wins a world cup he will be the greatest of all time.. 1. Messi 2. Maradona 3. Pele.

Ignoring your incredibly biased and grossly exaggerated claims. As to the world cup... Messi has always had an advantage over Ronaldo. Argentina is better than Portugal.

Well seems like Messi beats ronaldo most of the time when barcelona plays madrid. and you cant argue that one team is better.. Argentina is better than portugal no doubt. Any expert in the world will say if messi wins a world cup he will be consider the greatest of all time. Messi will be better than him even if they trade teams.

Not sure how Suarez isn't on every list.

as far as goal scoring and pure offensive production suarez is no better than #6 - besides messi and ronaldo he just does not stack up with ibra, neymar and van persie. falcao has out-produced him over last couple of years - id call that a toss-up

cant really compare like to like with MFs like ozil, iniesta, bale, ribery, pirlo, etc and you can pretty easily make a case for all of those guys, maybe some others.

probably a sure top 15 but top 10 is certainly debatable

maybe you are swayed by nice little goal he scored today...

Nothing to do with today's goal but ever since moving to Liverpool, he's made the jump into world class. I'd take him anyday of the week over Neymar and Van Persie.

All these lists and only one person recognizes the genius of Pirlo...well done rain.

Personally, too much emphasis is placed on goal scorers and quite frankly most of the folks on these lists benefit from playing on well stocked teams. I think the true test is if you put a great player with mediocre talent around him does he make the team that much better. So with that in mind my list would be:

Messi
Ronaldo
Bale
Ozil
Pirlo
Neymar
Rooney
Bentenke
Iniesta
Oscar

Regardless of club ties.... Suarez just offers more than either of them. He will score more goals than Neymar and opens up the game for others moreso than RVP along with being better on the ball. He also is better on set pieces than either of them.
