I believe if Perez coached this team we would of gotten a better result.. Really concerned with Ramos's coaching and decision making..
We have way too many talented players to lose in such a way. But it is just the first game together with the new cycle, so we have plenty of time to improve which I'm sure we will.
Also the 1st half line-up looked better than the 2nd half line-up.

I believe Perez is the better coach.
But US soccer signed Ramos to a 4 year contract which IMO is a bit long at the U-20 level.
Like I stated Ramos will be judged come 2015. Winning games now means little to the overall picture. Remember the U-17's were winning games left and right before they bombed out of the CONCACAF U-17 championship this past summer.

First half lineup was our starters, second half was our backups. In the end second half substitutes did not play well at all. Its a friendly better this happen now rather then later.

There are no sure fire starters yet for this U-20 team. There are still quite a few players out there that weren't called in for this camp i.e. Novakovich, Amick, Haberkorn, Arriola, Brooks Lennon, Steffen, Hayes, Calvert, Palmer-Brown, Lucatero, Swanson, Turner, Obinwa, Pineda etc.... A lot of talent still to be filtered in the next two years.

This is the first time that the new cycle has played together, though some played together on the u-18 team and some are relatively new to the system so its going to take some time. Friendlies are not about getting results, so we shouldn't be too concerned about today's defeat. There will be plenty of camps and new players coming up and plenty of time for Ramos to build up a core group of players. Well our boys play Iran next so hope they get ready.
Yeah the first half line up looked better, if Ramos just made the necessary changes to the squad if any..we prob would of had a better result(he also wanted to get a look at other players). But the Verona team was prob always going to be more of a threat, they spent preseason and all the time until now together to gel. This game did not represent what our u20 is capable of, we will greatly improve.

Just found out why Arriola was not called in for this U-20 camp. He is currently playing with Tijuana's U-20 team in the U-20 playoffs.

It either means his place is set or he's not thought of very highly. That's a decent spot for someone to be in to get a U20 camp call-up.

Why does it not matter. Why would you skip U-20 playoffs for the first U-20 camp that really has next to nil significance right now?
