I like how France plays Ukraine. If they won their whinefest with FIFA and got seeded over Ukraine, they still would have ended up playing each other. I hope Ukraine pulls off the upset because I hate whining in sports

Hope both France and Portugal get knocked out because they both whined about the seeding process. Both nations were afraid that they would have had to play each other.

Has a team from pot 6 ever made it to the playoff round, let alone the WC? Would be pretty awesome to see Iceland acheive that. Needless to say that they wont be in pot 6 for Euro qualifying.

It's safe to say that just about everyone wants to see Iceland go through...do we feel a little guilty maybe?

Come on guys, we want this World Cup to be the best it can be and massively popular in the US. That means having the best teams and players there. France and Portugal need to be there. France is a very good team full of recognizable players that Americans can root against and Portugal has arguably the most marketable player in the world in Cristiano Ronaldo. Non-soccer fans would tune in to watch Portugal play because of him. So there's no way we want to root for Portugal and France missing out.

Looks like I will be right with my predictions. All 4 favorites on course to qualify.

Not sure WHAT 2tone was smoking in his original post.
