Wow. What a takedown, good move to get past the initial defender, and a brilliant ball through.

I like Bedoya as an attacking CM. Not so much as a winger.

Im watching Nantes vs Metz on a plane and Bedoya looks solid at right wing. He's whipped in a few nice crosses, played in a through ball or two and even created a chance with a header to a teammate. A true target forward like Jozy would salivate over these kinds of balls in from Bedoya.

Bedoya signed a contract extension through 2019 with Nantes. It will be interesting to see if Juergen gives him any preferential treatment in March, he's pretty much living out Juergen's requests to the fullest.

$$$$$

Agreed skangles. But I also think the guy should be captain after Dempsey over Bradley and Jozy, he's a good player with the right mentality. Bedoya and Michael Bradley track back, play offense, are confident, and in general are our workhorses, the guys you don't even sub off the field let alone play a game without them. I do think bedoya may be more of a communicator and do the off the field stuff better than Bradley. Either guy would be a good choice.

An add on to my previous post- he went the route I hopes stays (and with the changes being implemented gets better) the popular choice for Americans, college. Lots of good athletic players and a good way to have a wide pool of players play games and get scouted at the critical age of 18-22. Bedoya is a well rounded and educated person with athletic skills. If it works in our other sports it will work in soccer. The coaching and playing schedules (this is changing supposedly) just need to improve, but college is a gold mine. Good for Bedoya.

The league structure is geographic and very decentralized, meaning the talent level is completely diluted and spread out all over the country. It's just far less competitive than the one-tier, twenty-team league system you normally see in soccer.

The final stretch of the English league season is upon us, with several Americans on the verge of relegation with their teams.
