And Argentina ties it up.

Here's food for thought. As of right now, the Netherlands and Italy would be seeded and Colombia and Uruguay would not. If we assume that Uruguay beats Jordan that would give CONMEBOL 4 non-seeded teams. If the CONCACAF fourth seed loses to New Zealand you would have to think that the pools would be the Pool A = 8 Seeds, Pool B = 7 UEFA + New Zealand, Pool C = 4 Conmebol + 4 AFC, Pool D = 3 Concacaf + 5 CAF.

Best case scenario we have a Group consisting of Switzerland, New Zealand, Iran and the USA.

This is all subject to switch around as these Uruguay and Colombia games progress.

Wow Colombia gets their second goal with 10 men to take a 2-1 lead. Uruguay leads 3-2. So at the moment Colombia and Uruguay have their seeds back.

That's how they finish Uruguay 3-2 winners. Colombia 2-1 winners. Both teams get seeded (assuming Uruguay beats Jordan) and the Netherlands and Italy are non-seeded teams.

Watching these idiots on Sportscenter try to explain what happened in CONCACAF tonight has been painful. "With the snipe" He said that twice in a one minute segment? Ok. "And he misses it with the offsides"

I really don't think this sport is that complicated, especially the highlights.

My conclusion: you can estimate the average intelligence level of the fans of a given sport based on the complexity, or the complete lack thereof, of cheers in the stadium during matches.

The guys on Sportscenter are probably fans (and commentators) of sports where the most complex cheer involves a 4 beat chant of "DE-FENSE (pause pause) DE-FENSE (pause pause)" so they're probably doing their best and trying really hard.

I love getting angry at Sportscenter analysis of soccer highlights.
