When Ukranian-Russian-American Striker Yevgeni "Eugene" Starikov was called into the 2010 January Camp, he seemed like a quite promising potential. Yet after a loan from superpower Zenit St. Petersburg to cellar dwellers Tom Tomsk he has returned to Zenit and seemingly fallen into the unknown. Zenit's wikipedia page lists him as "not registered", but does anybody have any idea what's going on with Starikov? (YA writers this may be some good researching/storyline)

Starikov had 2 goals as a sub yesterday in Rostov's 3-2 defeat to Amkar. He hasn't played a great deal of late, but at least he's showing what he can do for a possible transfer this summer. I believe he is still on Loan from Zenit.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
