Of course he wants to stay in the German set up. He should. He grew up there, lives there, plays for the best team in the world in his home town. He probably wants to see how far he can go with one of the best national team programs in the world.

Naturally, I don't think anyone really was sold on him really joining the US anytime soon anyway.

I hope Ben starts vs. Scotland, moves to an EPL team, and becomes our Messi!

And by that I mean I hope he developes, stays in Spain or Germany, and eventually reps the US because that is where his heart and soul is. I also hope he is not our Messi, but rather just one of the guys we have in a top league that knows how to perform day in and out.

...ya, I for one sure as hell hope he is our Messi...we could really use one of those(hopefully he's not our Gio Dos Santos)... That being said, I am excited to see him and Pynadath start repping your Youth teams in the next couple years.

I'm told that #usmnt coach Jurgen Klinsmann will in fact consider players involved in MLS playoffs for upcoming roster.

At least after tonight and tomorrow night, we'll have a much better picture of who will be available. Although that could mean nothing and Klinsmann could still call in those still in the playoffs.

Brooks should start both games and we'll finally see what we have with him.

The interview on USSoccer.com pretty much said it all.

He expects Boyd, Brooks, and Fabian to be ready.

Highly doubt Boyd starts either game, But I would like to see him get some significant time.

Depending on roster I wouldnt be surprised to see him be a 2nd half sub the first game and then start the 2nd. He hasnt played a real game in over a month. ASking him to go 180' in 4 days is asking for an injury to pop up. Id expect a 2nd half substitution in 1st game and then assuming he's good to go health wise a full 90 in the 2nd game. No need to push anyone in meaningless friendlies, especially guys like Brooks and Fab who are coming back from injuries

Hmm, Brooks starting? Don't know. I think it all depends on if Brooks starts for Hertha this upcoming weekend.
