Committed to the US and getting consistent minutes for their first teams: Arriola and Agudelo, but being ignored by klinsmann.

Not committed to the US, and look at the USMNT as the second option: Green and Parker who get continually scouted and phone calls form Klisnmann. look I get trying to persuade these guys to the USMNT, but to ignore talented players that have grown up in the US and the American soccer system is a bit disrespectful.

Also what I can't understand is when asked about Gil and Yedlin, Klinsmann continually states that they might be to inexperienced to be called in. Uhm, I believe Yedlin had the most starts and minutes of all Sounders players this season. Gil is starting, playing, and starring in the playoffs for RSL. But, Klinsmann is all about bringing in Green who has zero first team minutes. Look I understand trying to persuade some talented dual Americans, but I think there needs to be a focus on young talented American players as well. Maybe he is waiting for the January camp to bring some of these young guys in.

We heard through the media that Klinsmann was in touch with Parker and Green, but no one on this forum has any idea whether Arriola or Agudelo has been in touch with Klinsmann or anyone else from US Soccer... We simply aren't privy to that information. While I am surprised to see Agudelo left off in favor of Wondo, I don't think we need to draw too many conclusions from it at all. There is another camp in a month and a half where the 2013 MLS studs like Klute, Gil, Yedlin, and Rowe will have their opportunity to impress. For his part, Juan has the ability to force his way back into the squad too if he meets expectations in the Premier League.

I fully expect to see a wholesale revamp of the squad after the WC, with much more emphasis on youth. I don't really expect to see many 30+ year olds in 2018, with the obvious exceptions of Bradley and Guzan.

i think as long as the following guys get at least 1 start i will be somewhat satisfied:
- brooks
- kljestan
- johannsson

think all 3 of those guys could be potentially very useful in brazil, yet thus far have a combined 4 starts under JK between them

a start for lichaj might be nice as well

You are absolutely privy to the information about which players/teams are being scouted. All you have to do is go to US soccer's blog. Parker was being scouted this weekend, and Green has been scouted previous weekends. Tijuana hasn't been scouted for awhile hence my conclusion that Klinsmann may be ignoring Arriola.

And yes I think January Camp will tell quite a bit about some younger players moving forward towards the WC.

I think this could have been perfect scenario for an Arriola and Agudelo to come into camp, that's all.

I think Lichaj will get no less than a half, and no more than 2 halves (whether in single game or two games).

Kljestan could get a game. Depending on how Klinsmann utilizes Bradley.

Brooks I hope gets one game.

Lichaj hopefully gets a half at either LB or RB.

Aron I see getting at least a start.

Dempsey is the captain, so I think it's inevitable that he starts both games.

Everyone raise their hands for whoever had DMB as the guy getting the most starts in 2013? Amazing stuff.

The Cameron-Brooks pairing for the Bosnia game was shaky then got much better as the game went on. We've on only seen the Gonzalez/ Cameron pair in the game at Honduras, which wasn't a great showing either.

Every cycle around this time, i always have the feeling that there are a couple of players, usually younger, that could give us a spark or at least add to the depth of the team. I usually wind up disappointed. I'm still hopeful that someone shines in the January camp, but I think JK has a very good idea who his group will be. For the young players, I'm just glad that he is giving Brooks a shot.

It's an interesting mix of players...glad to see Lichaj, and another opportunity to see AJ. Also which CB will take the lead as the organizer with Besler and Goodson out. I think we might have some issues setting our line and organizing the trap. The middle of our D might be a little funky. Who knows, with Lichaj called in maybe JK gives Evans a look at LB.

Get the Beas outta there. He's good, and we'll be taking him to the WC for sure, but we need to start getting those younger guys training/playing time.

Of course we know what matches they're watching, thats long been settled but my point was that contact isn't limited to scouting. All Jurgen or anyone else has to do is pick up a phone and make a call or send a text. Thats the kind of thing that can and probably does occur frequently that we as outsiders might not find out about.

I don't have much to say about the roster. It just seems like a safe move by Klinnsman, whatever that means. I personally don't see the point in bringing in all your starters (those that are fit). I'd much rather see a blend of starters and younger guys, who, like most of you have inquired, may bring a spark that was otherwise absent. Agudelo, Zardes, Yedlin, Holmes (even Powers, but obviously not ALL of these players, even though I don't see the harm in giving them a shot), would have been cool to see. Once again I'm not mad about the roster, as there are a few starters that have been injured that probably are ready to get back into international action, but especially given our lack of effective wingers I feel Klinnsman could have utilized these friendlies a little better. I mean really... Shea?

@recycledhumans

100% agree on beasley. I dont even want him on the roster but we dont have anybody else until we find a good left winger to move fabian back to LB

Definitely keeping and eye on jeremy toljan

@ fraser31

Great post.... like i said, I dont think anyone explained to klinsmann on what a friendly is !
