He's going to push for Brazil, I just hope he doesn't go ape-shyte trying to do it. The last thing his career needs (WC aside) is trying to push too hard to return to fitness and blow out that knee.
Baby steps, Steve!

Too late for an edit on my previous post, but I feel like I have to repost a wonderful haiku in the comment section:

Not only will he be our best RB option, he will also be an experienced leader in the backfield.. I think that his been lacking in the defense, bocanegra was a big time leader. I think Cherundolo will push our defense beyond their level and exceed expectations.

I still think Chandler has the potential to be better than Steve, but he's still a ways off from making that happen.

Report from yesterday's training says Cherundolo is dealing with knee pains yet again.
Not surprising. At his age knee injuries are very hard to get over. To be honest I still have reservations about him getting back to his former self, and I still think he is a long ways away from the USMNT.
IMO Chandler and Lichaj should be getting the looks going forward.

Any news on Stevie C?
I'm very nervous about this injury. We need him as our starting RB and captain. We need Chandler on the wing and Lichaj sucks.

Nothing new since the soreness/mild pain story came out...I'm guessing that they're going to try to back him off for the next few weeks and then try to get him back in.

So Chandler is all of a sudden getting called in and moving up to the wing? If Dolo is our starting RB in Brazil then we are screwed.

Any reasoning to that statement, or are you just spewing nonsense for the hell of it?

Experience, leadership and skill? Who needs that? If he's fit and healthy, he's the best choice by far.

The good thing for Dolo is that its nothing major. Get the rest you need and get some games for Hannover. He has time.
That's why the friendlies will be interesting, Chandler gets called in, the RB position is that much less of a problem.

So Dolo has resumed full training. IDK if he'll be ready for Hannover's game tomorrow but he's got to be close to returning.
