I constantly disagree with dolcem, and I'm sick as hell of adms repeated murder of written English, but you are on a different level, sitebomb.

If dolcem disagreed with me on something, and you agreed, I would seriously reconsider my position.

You would reconsider your position because i'm sick of someone constantly saying people are the same person.... i don't come here for a popularity contest i post my opinion. I don't care if Dolcem doesn't agree with my support for Adu that's fine. I don't need to be called someone other person who post simply because our opinions on a player are the same. Notice the topic did not get off center until DOLCEM posted. even when you disagreed we were still talking soccer...stop being a moron and get back to civil conversation and opinions.

I'm not taking sides on whether you have a sockpuppet or not. I don't know and it doesn't matter to me.

lol what happened here lol.

I think the thing, at least I was trying to get to, was that there is discussion that Adu was without any merit. I feel like that's false. Dolcem, you're right, his skill set wasn't extraordinary, wasn't at world class level, but it was most definitely best of our group.

I feel like I've been more than reasonable in saying, Adu was clearly WITH faults. Enough to have mostly explained how his career has gone. The other part to this is that DC United, US Youth soccer was WITHOUT fault. I just can't believe that.

There's something JK said that has rubbed alot of people the wrong way. The way he worded it was tough.

How do you guys feel about this?

I couldn't have said it better. I even said IF he made the team. There will always be Trolls on this board that will hate simply because they don't have anything better to do. It normally turns from friendly banter to off topic simply from one person saying something incredible out of place like Dolcem did and then mmee did. I could go off topic about mmee but it isn't worth it or in the spirit of soccer....

Ah, what I would give to see that freaky little sonofabitch dazzle us all again.

But hard to imagine that 15 different coaches on 3 different continents were all wrong about him.

I'd love to have a couple of beers with a guy like coach Bob and see what he really thought about Adu. I guess it's not a mystery - freaky skills, but shitbag attitude, not willing to work hard, etc. Could get away with it at the youth levels, but once you're playing with real men and it's their livelihood. . .

Oh yeah, US Soccer (and probably DCU) mismanaged him and helped turn him into a head case. This doesn't changed the fact that he's a headcase.

As for whatever JK said there, I think it's bullshit and I'll cite Bayern players complaining about him, and how winning clubs work regarding tactical prep. YES you have to find the match yourself, but that ain't where the story ends.

Oh man I would love to see Coach Bruce at Bayern.

"OK guys, form two lines, we're going to do one of our favorite drills from the University of Virginia. Guy in the first line dribbles the ball a bit, then he passes it to the guy in the other line. That guy controls it and then passes it back to the guy in the first line. Then after trapping the ball, the guy in the first line kicks it into the goal. When you're finished, switch lines. 1, 2, 3, go!"

I actually don't think Bruce is bereft of ideas.

I mean with all due respect, we looked much better at passing the ball these past two games.

Yes, they were against noobs, but let me remind you, we were looking bad against noobs under Klinsmann. Especially towards the end.
