The most listened to and the first radio station in the Country, WFAN, has signed a multi-year deal to broadcast NYCFC games on the radio in New York.

SO yeah go ahead and tell me that a second NYC soccer team is bad for MLS.

This is exactly why Garber wanted a second New York team. The sheer media coverage in the US's biggest media market will bring MLS further into the US consciousness of sports.

Great news, but we knew this 2 months ago, this is very old news even though it was released today.

Its also the biggest radio deal in MLS history and the biggest radio deal with the Yankees. They will make 20-25 million a year. I'm sure NYCFC will also make a nice penny.

Now if only the Red Bulls can get an ENGLISH speaking radio station. Even the Cosmos have some English speaking radio service that you can get online.

The only reason the Yankees were not on the WFAN earlier is because George Steinbrenner was close friends)and had a great respect) with Fred Wilpon and they had an agreement to keep the Mets on the fan. Now that George has passed away the deal is done and Hank and Hal jumped on the money.

The young soccer careers of Rubio Rubin and Brady Scott are headed in completely opposite directions.
