I have a question and cant find a definite answer. Lets say Real wins USOC, and they also win the MLS Cup. Would DCU get the CCL spot as US Open runner up, or would it go to the best regular season team not already qualified

I don't know where this US Open Cup version of DC United has been hiding all MLS season.

Cool I hope DC win. I wonder if Pontius' is putting himself back into Klinsmann's plans? Still think his game would translate over to the USMNT really well.

Who needs and appendix anyway?

Great first half from DC. As a fan, winning the USOC would be the best thing that could happen to United. Being in the CCL would theoretically give Thohir a reason to spend even though they said they wouldn't make a major squad investment until they got out of the atrocious RFK Stadium lease. The extra allocation money would give him some wiggle room to add quality depth as well.

Great finish, RSL had numerous chances to get the equalizer. I look forward to the CCL games in DC next year.

I realize it was just one game, but last night we saw one keeper make huge saves and maintain his composure, and we saw the other miss the only real attempt on his goal all night....One made a few incredible breakaway stops, and one should have gotten a red card for a bad tackle on the other team's only breakaway chance.

Similarly, we saw one CM pressure and control the middle of the field for much of the game, and we didn't see the other CM at all because there was a bit of pressure from the opposing forwards.

I think we just saw the students become the masters. JK was in the crowd, he saw this happen.

In last night's game:
Hamid > Rimando
Kitchen > Beckerman

Get used to this happening, time is on DC's side.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
