Despite AZ upsetting PSV yesterday to move into 4th place of the Eredivisie, technical director Earnie Stewart (former USMNT mid) fired head coach Gertjan Verbeek citing "team chemistry"
Very, very strange
As a strict disciplinarian,Verbeek has worked exceptionally well with Americans Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, and now Aron Johannsson. There must be more to the story

They owe a big portion of being in 4th place to Aron J. I have never been a fan of disciplinarians, how much of AZ's positive style of play is owed to Verbeek? Will it likely change when new coach comes in? They still don't have enough creativity in the midfield.

Weird. But, hey could Verbeek be inline for the Sunderland job now?
There has to be more to this story.

Very strange!! O how I'd love to have Verbeek come over to the states to work with an MLS club or USSOCCER.
