I guess I dont consider playing vs antigua and barbuda and guatemala as crucial. I dont think he did either.

He took his sabbatical after those games. It was the first Honduras HEX game Lando missed.

The thought of Rimando as the #1 keeper for the Gold Cup is pretty funny.

Not really. He won the 2013 Gold Cup as the starting keeper. He faced pretty much Panama A team in the final.

Rimando would be fine in the Gold Cup, my biggest issue with him is that he's not Bill Hamid.

6-1 Southampton. That should help brad get back into the line up.

I doubt it. I think Sherwood was waiting for an excuse to replace Guzan with his fellow GB Given! If he plays next week it's because they're safe from relegation and may rest Given for FA cup final. US keepers need to be at clubs with managers not from Great Britten! Field players as well! Just my opinion!

You are going to piss off a lot of people if you call an Irish person British. Sherwood plays form players. If Given is off, then Guzan will be back in. Given has had a great cup display for a faltering side. You have to reward that.

Not saying he's not a good keeper. He is. I've seen him perform magic many times over the years. The main point of the Rimando critics like me is that he's probably OK against CONCACAF midgets and in MLS. But he's a dead end. Sure we can win the Gold cup with him and qualify for the WC with him. But would he ever play at a WC? Or even Copa America?

And he's just flat out funny to watch flying around like a Mighty Mouse. Not what a keeper normally looks like.

HAHA opps my bad. Never said Given wan't doing well but Guzan hasn't been bad either. Remember, in FA cup most if not all are not playing their top players. Well see what happens.

Not trying to be on the bad side but Really Panama A team ??? How did they fared at the WC ??? I like Guzan and all but in all Honesty i think Hamid and Yarbrough are easily in contention for that #1 keeper spot. Also Guzan did not have the best of seasons with Villa this year.

So Guzan backup to Steer today. Really? Guzan must have really pissed off Sherwood. That's ridiculous. I know it's a meaningless game but it's kind of humiliating towards Guzan. IMO

If that's the case not a promising sign for Guzan.

Sherwood said Shay Given will start Saturday if his groin is better but if not then Guzan will start. This is what I think is happening, because of the mistakes Guzan had been making especially that one against Man City, Sherwood is kinda doing what Mancini did with Joe Hart. Helping him realise his #1 spot is not his and be better work for it or Sherwood thinks Guzan is just a piece of meat and will get rid of him this summer.
